Background / History
Chu Liang originated from Earth, where he had completed high school before transmigrating into the body of an orphan in a cultivation world. Di Nufeng found him while performing chivalrous deeds and made him the sole disciple of Shushan’s Silver Sword Peak. 2 3
His rise began with a mysterious White Pagoda within his consciousness. Slaying demons caused their phantoms to appear in the pagoda, allowing him to refine them into treasures. After defeating Yi Nianhong, a spider demon disguised as a courtesan, he obtained the Demon-Binding Rope; earlier kills had earned him the golden brick used to expose her true form. 1 2
Chu Liang initially relied on mission rewards, pills, and secret White Pagoda treasures to compensate for his comparatively modest cultivation. The Zhou Tian Puppet later transformed his training routine by adding twelve hours of cultivation per day, allowing him to devote more time to demon-slaying, sword practice, and sect missions. 15
He won Shushan’s Chief Disciple position after an exhausting final against Xu Ziyang, using his Spirit Light Blood Tempering Art to claim victory. 273 He later became an Immortal Sect Top Scholar after helping Mount Shu win the Imperial City Battle. 582 584
After disappearing for six years, Chu Liang returned to Mount Shu with vastly increased strength and resumed his role in the sect’s affairs, Red Cotton Peak’s development, and conflicts involving the Demon Race, Yinghuo, and Penglai. 615 636
Appearance
Chu Liang is a lean, fair-skinned youth with shoulder-framing hair, clear bright eyes, and a boyish face. He is usually composed and refined, with a gentle voice and a charming smile. 1

- His physical body becomes exceptionally dense and powerful through body cultivation, despite retaining a slender build. 378
- Can assume draconic traits through Dragon Body Transformation, including dragon claws and overwhelming Dragon Blood power. 582
Personality
Chu Liang is observant, patient, and highly pragmatic. He usually investigates before acting, conceals his strongest resources, and targets an opponent’s specific weaknesses rather than relying on direct force. 20 262 271
He is also notably compassionate. He helps demons who have not committed evil, protects Liu Xiaoyu during an assassination attempt, honors his promise to shelter Chu Yi, and repeatedly acts to save civilians caught in larger conflicts. 7 88 461 482
His kindness coexists with sharp commercial instincts. Chu Liang repeatedly turns opportunities into profitable ventures, from Gold-Veined Berry promotions to Red Cotton Peak’s expansion, while still refusing gifts he feels he has not earned. 16 221 264 333
