Crackle~ crackle~
Rain pattered against the portholes, and before anyone noticed, large amounts of water had collected in the depressions of Dawn's outer deck.
Terrifying, wasn't it? It was actually raining in outer space.
Arthur stood before the window, staring absently at the dust-cloud-filled galaxy.
"Are we still in the Warp?"
He turned to glance at Aglaia beside him.
The Inquisitor was also lost in thought as she watched the scene outside.
Arthur felt somewhat bewildered. He was curious about what kind of cosmic phenomenon this was. Could the laws of physics really have such a strange side?
"Aglaia."
"Yes, my lord?"
Aglaia withdrew her gaze.
Her expression was grim.
"This phenomenon."
Arthur pointed at the rain beyond the window.
"Could you explain it to me?"
"This is a special phenomenon caused by an overlap between the Warp and reality. It usually appears at a Mandeville Point, indicating that a powerful Warp entity may be watching this place. It is a sign that a Mandeville Anchor is collapsing into a Reality Ulcer."
Aglaia quickly took out a notebook and began recording something as she replied.
After a long Warp voyage, she understood that these Ancient Warriors valued efficiency more. They did not lack proper courtesy in their speech, but neither did they care much for cumbersome etiquette.
"How many?"
Aglaia's shorthand pen punctured the parchment. The ink trembled, reflecting a faint gleam beneath the stars like tiny silver parasites writhing about.
"More than one."
Every powerful Warp entity's gaze was sharp and dreadful. The Molten-Iron Rain of the Brass Fortress could burn through Void Shields, while the Blood Crystal Hail of the Court of Hedonism could implant visions of parasitic brain matter.
If they had not been restrained by other powers, it would not have manifested as harmless rain. They
