Smack!
A grape struck Yang Ping in the face. Wang Zijing had thrown it, and she apparently still hadn't vented her anger. She grabbed the bunch of grapes from the fruit platter and hurled the entire thing at her.
Yang Ping was completely stunned and forgot to dodge.
Wang Zijing stood up. The Wang family's eldest granddaughter, who had been dejected in front of the elders for a month, finally became like an enraged tigress. She said viciously, "If I catch you pulling petty tricks again, don't spend New Year's at the Wang family this year. Does he lack money? He could beat you to death with checks."
The living room abruptly fell silent.
A few seconds later, Yang Ping, who had evidently rarely suffered such a huge grievance, burst into tears with a "Waaah!" and cried, "Why? This isn't just your home."
Her crying broke the silence. Wang Lingyan stood up for her niece. "Zijing, can't you act like an older female cousin? Listen to the way you're talking. You're already an adult."
Wang Zijing snorted coldly and raised her hand. "Keep crying and see if I slap you."
Yang Ping's sobbing stopped short. She couldn't help looking at her mother. Second Aunt Wang Linghua had a weak personality and could only look helpless.
"Look at her, just look at her attitude. Sister-in-law, you really should teach her properly." Wang Lingyan looked at Wang Mom.
"What you said was too much, Zijing. How could you say something like that?" Wang Second Aunt followed the crowd and rebuked her.
"I can't even control her, much less teach her. She never listened to me since she was little." Wang Mom joined in the complaints.
When Wang Zijing was still little, the couple's relationship had been poor. Wang Mom would return to
