The sun shone brightly. The streets bustled with people, the cries of shopkeepers mingling with the laughter and chatter of passersby.

"The village has been developing better and better."

For once, Renye had not gone Sunbathing today. Instead, he was out strolling with his good brother.

Shimura Danzō nodded in satisfaction.

If not for his good brother, he would never have retired so early to live out his old age.

In his original plan, he intended to serve as Hokage for thirty years and only consider retirement once he reached his fifties.

But he could not bear to watch Renye remain alone, so he ultimately decided to retire early and pass the position to Hiruzen.

Otherwise, Hiruzen would not even have had the chance to become Hokage by now!

The two wandered aimlessly through the streets.

"Kakashi, congratulations on becoming a Jonin!"

A brown-haired girl with short hair and a gentle smile caught up to the white-haired boy ahead of her.

Her eyes sparkled with sincere joy.

"Tch, it's only Jonin. What's so impressive about that? Sooner or later, I'll become Hokage. Let's see if you can still smile then."
