Ch. 222Tsunade Is Short on Money

Kakashi, Guy, and Yamato saw that Ingetsu’s Leaf Village had been restored and learned that the Uchiha treated captured Medical Ninjas well. Ingetsu then visited Tsunade in the Land of Waves and revealed that he controlled Gato’s fleeing fleet, which could solve the new ninja village’s financial shortage.

  • Kakashi, Guy, and Yamato reached the restored Leaf Village aboard the Flying Fortress and recognized its familiar districts and landmarks.
  • Kurenai took Naruto, Sasuke, and Subaru to begin training while Ingetsu left the Fortress; Yamato later told Kakashi and Guy he wanted to escape to finish building a house and collect his unpaid wages from Tsunade.
  • Ingetsu arrived at Tsunade’s hot spring in the Land of Waves, where she explained that she planned to sell Gato’s remaining real estate to fund the new ninja village.
  • Ingetsu told Tsunade that he had killed Gato and taken control of the fleet carrying most of Gato’s wealth.
  • Tsunade eagerly sat beside Ingetsu and offered him a grape as he prepared to tell her more.

Ch. 223Kakashi Meets Sakumo Hatake

Ingetsu and Tsunade captured Gato’s fleet and brought its wealth and gang members back to the Land of Waves for reconstruction. At the Leaf Village hospital, Kakashi and Guy reunited with their reanimated fathers, and Kakashi asked Hatake Sakumo and Might Duy about the village’s situation.

  • Ingetsu took Tsunade to Gato’s fleet, where his subordinates surrendered after Susanoo destroyed one of their warships.
  • Ingetsu gave Tsunade the Kato Group’s fortune and ordered the fleet to return to the Land of Waves, where Tsunade planned to put the gang members to work.
  • Yamato sensed two unusual visitors entering the hospital, and Kakashi and Guy recognized their fathers, Hatake Sakumo and Might Duy.
  • Guy embraced Might Duy and wept, while Kakashi calmly welcomed Hatake Sakumo and heard his apology.
  • Kakashi told Hatake Sakumo that he understood his past choice and asked whether he would leave again; Sakumo said he could not, and Kakashi was relieved.
  • Kakashi asked Hatake Sakumo and Might Duy about the Leaf Village’s current situation and their circumstances.

Ch. 224Encountering Zabuza

Kakashi, Guy, and Yamato considered Hatake Sakumo’s praise of the rebuilt shinobi village, and Yamato explored it before registering as a Returning Ninja. Meanwhile, Ingetsu sailed toward the Land of Waves, learned the Four Red Yang Formation from Hashirama, and encountered the Demon Brothers as Zabuza watched nearby.

  • Hatake Sakumo called the new shinobi village the one he had hoped for, prompting Kakashi, Guy, and Yamato to reconsider leaving.
  • Yamato explored the village, heard a resident praise its smooth transition, and saw children playing and the Uchiha Police Force chatting with civilians.
  • At the Mission Assignment Office, Yamato learned about Returning Ninja benefits and registered his shinobi information card.
  • Ingetsu agreed to help Tsunade with her financial troubles, and Hashirama taught him the Four Red Yang Formation in exchange for seeing her.
  • The Demon Brothers attacked the Kato Group’s fleet, but Ingetsu struck them into the sea with a kick each.
  • Zabuza saw the Demon Brothers fall and wondered whether another expert was aboard the fleet.

Ch. 225Four Red Sun Formation

Ingetsu captured Zabuza and Haku after trapping Zabuza in a Four Red Yang Formation and subduing Haku, then took them toward Konoha as extra manpower. He parted from Tsunade near the Land of Waves and brought the pair to Konoha, where Hanzo remained stuck guarding the Capital Fortress while Tamao pestered him for stories.

  • Zabuza infiltrated the Kato Group's warship after the Demon Brothers failed, but four of Ingetsu's Shadow Clones trapped him in the Four Red Yang Formation.
  • Tsunade arrived on deck and defeated Haku when he attacked her, while Ingetsu explained that Zabuza and Haku had come to rob the fleet.
  • Ingetsu branded Zabuza and Haku with the Eight Thousand Spears Imprint, then left Tsunade with the money and took the two men as spoils.
  • Ingetsu told Tsunade that he intended to reorganize more than just the Land of Fire, then flew away with Zabuza and Haku toward Konoha.
  • Hanzo brooded atop the Capital Fortress wall until Tamao appeared and eagerly asked him to recount his years as a demigod.

Ch. 226The Battle Begins

Ingetsu returned to the Capital Fortress with Zabuza and Haku, assigned Zabuza to guard the fortress with Hanzo, and sent Haku to the orphanage despite Zabuza’s protests. After learning which countries had invaded the Land of Fire, Ingetsu prepared to launch a war against the entire Ninja World.

  • Ingetsu landed at the Capital Fortress with Zabuza and Haku, where Tamao greeted them and Zabuza recognized the Kubikiribōchō on Tamao’s back.
  • Ingetsu assigned Zabuza to guard the fortress alongside Hanzo and ordered Tamao to take Haku to the orphanage; Zabuza could not follow them off the fortress.
  • Tamao took Haku toward the Hokage Building, while Zabuza realized he would have to remain at the fortress if he hoped to see Haku again.
  • Yamato spotted Orochimaru in the streets of the Leaf Village and detoured back to the hospital, while Orochimaru and Anko continued to meet Ingetsu.
  • Ingetsu reviewed the invading countries with Orochimaru and declared that the war would be against the entire Ninja World.

Ch. 227The Position of Fire Country’s Daimyo

Ingetsu mobilized New Konoha’s forces to take control of the Land of Fire while he left with Konan for the Land of Lightning to capture the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails. Meanwhile, the Fire Daimyo was captured by the Moon Ninja, whose chief demanded that he surrender his position.

  • Zabuza and Hanzo were compelled to join the mobilization, while Hatake Sakumo and Might Duy left the hospital under Ingetsu’s control; Kakashi warned them to beware of sealing techniques.
  • Yamato went to gather information, and Kakashi told Guy that Ingetsu was likely targeting smaller ninja villages rather than facing another invasion by Kumogakure and Hidden Sand Village.
  • Inaho led the Reanimated Uchiha, and Orochimaru led Kabuto, Kimimaro, and other forces west as New Konoha prepared to attack ninja forces across the Land of Fire.
  • Ingetsu left the Main Fortress with Konan aboard Complete Body Susanoo and revealed that he intended to capture the Two-Tails and Eight-Tails in the Land of Lightning.
  • Moon Ninja surrounded the Fire Daimyo and his family, and one of his ministers betrayed him by handing him over to their chief.
  • The Moon Ninja chief ordered the Fire Daimyo to announce that he was surrendering his position, promising to spare his family.

Ch. 228Rumors About Dan Heng

Ingetsu and Konan discovered that the Moon Ninja had captured the Fire Daimyo and were preparing to seize the Land of Fire. Ingetsu revealed his Complete Body Susanoo above their town, and he and Konan entered as the Moon Ninja leader tried to flee.

  • The Moon Ninja leader mocked the captured Fire Daimyo, dismissed the rumors about Uchiha Ingetsu, and demanded that the Daimyo hand over control of the Land of Fire.
  • The Moon Ninja leader beat the Fire Daimyo and ordered his subordinates to take him away while planning to negotiate with the Three Great Ninja Villages.
  • Konan rescued the Fire Princess, and she and Ingetsu decided to save the Fire Daimyo and destroy the Land of the Moon.
  • Ingetsu carried Konan aboard Complete Body Susanoo and flew above the town, revealing himself to the Moon Ninja and the Fire Daimyo.
  • The Fire Daimyo recognized Ingetsu, while the Moon Ninja leader panicked and tried to escape with him.
  • Ingetsu and Konan entered the town as the Moon Ninja leader attempted to flee.

Ch. 229Clearing the Land of Fire

Ingetsu subdued the Moon Ninja, rescued the Fire Daimyo and his daughter, and sent the Daimyo toward Leaf Village while directing the captured force west. In the western Land of Fire, the Star Ninja found the Bird Country forces slaughtered and watched Orochimaru lead Leaf Ninja and Uchiha in an attack on the Land of Bears camp.

  • Ingetsu immobilized the Moon Ninja with his ocular technique and decided to make them fight the other invading forces.
  • Ingetsu rescued the Fire Daimyo and his daughter, assigned Moon Ninja to escort them to Leaf Village, and let the Daimyo punish those who had betrayed him.
  • Ingetsu sent the remaining Moon Ninja west toward the forces gathered in the Land of Fire.
  • A Star Ninja went to the Land of Birds camp and discovered the Bird Country Ninja Force dead in the forest.
  • The Star Ninja returned to find Leaf Ninja and Uchiha attacking the Land of Bears camp, where an Uchiha killed the Star Ninja leader.
  • The Star Ninja recognized Orochimaru leading the Leaf forces.

Ch. 230Remotely Controlling the Battle

Ingetsu remotely controlled the Moon Ninja to capture and eliminate the Land of Rivers' forces while flying toward the Land of Lightning with Konan. After the Land of Rivers' leader died and his forces began to flee, Ingetsu turned his attention to the approaching Land of Lightning.

  • Orochimaru's team and the Reanimated Uchiha wiped out the Land of Bears' forces, and Uchiha Inaho said they would wait for Ingetsu's orders.
  • Ingetsu controlled the Moon Ninja from afar and captured three Land of Rivers scouts, ordering two killed and using Yachihoko to make the third lead them to his leader.
  • Ingetsu sent the controlled scout captain into the Land of Rivers' camp, where the captain wounded the leader before Ingetsu killed him with a Senbon.
  • The Moon Ninja charged the Land of Rivers' camp, and the leader's samurai scattered as Ingetsu took control of the battle.
  • Ingetsu and Konan reached the Land of Lightning, and Ingetsu asked whether Konan had ever visited it.

Ch. 231Head to Yun Yin to Stock Up

Ingetsu and Konan entered the Land of Lightning, while the defeated Fourth Raikage struggled with despair over Ingetsu’s strength. After Yugito Nii was ambushed and driven to a cliff, Deva Path Pain defeated her in her Two-Tails form and captured her.

  • Ingetsu and Konan discussed Kumogakure’s past kidnappings and Mikoto’s request that Konan bring back high-quality kunoichi.
  • The Fourth Raikage drank in his office and admitted that he believed he could not defeat Ingetsu.
  • Mabui reported that Yugito Nii had lost contact after being ambushed near the village, and the Raikage set out with Darui and Shi to find her.
  • Wounded and isolated on a cliffside path, Yugito Nii transformed into Two Tails Matatabi to fight the orange-haired attacker.
  • Deva Path Pain used Shinra Tensei to hurl Matatabi from the cliff, then grabbed Yugito Nii and threw her into the forest.

Ch. 232Killer B vs. Asura Path

Killer B intervened when Pain’s forces attacked Yugito Nii and fought the Asura Path, but the mechanical body resisted his sword techniques and trapped him. The chapter ended with Killer B decapitating the Asura Path and realizing that his opponent was made of machinery resistant to Lightning Release.

  • Deva Path Pain exposed Killer B, who emerged and attacked the Asura Path to rescue Yugito Nii.
  • Killer B severed the Asura Path’s arms, but its Strange Arm Rockets exploded nearby and sent Yugito flying, worsening her injuries.
  • The Asura Path transformed and fired missiles from its fingers, while Gyūki lent Killer B Chakra for his sword assault.
  • The Asura Path blocked Killer B’s attacks with a metal chainsaw, then seized him with its six mechanical arms.
  • Killer B cut off the Asura Path’s head with the tachi in his mouth and realized that its body was mechanical and resistant to Lightning Release.

Ch. 233The Current State of Hidden Cloud Village

Killer B and the Eight-Tails fought Pain’s forces while the Lightning Shadow rushed to aid them, and Mabui mobilized Kumogakure’s defenses. Ingetsu and Konan infiltrated the Raikage Building, knocked out Omoi and Karui, and left Samui sensing that something was wrong.

  • Killer B dodged the Asura Path’s broken chainsaw attack, then yielded control to the Eight-Tails as four more Paths attacked.
  • The Eight-Tails unleashed Tailed Beast Eight Twists, wrapping Killer B in enormous tentacles as the Paths retreated.
  • The Lightning Shadow, Darui, and Shi hurried toward Killer B’s battlefield, while Mabui mobilized Kumogakure’s ninjas and assigned Samui to guard the village.
  • Mabui ordered Samui to recall Cloud Ninja on missions, and Samui contacted Omoi and Karui with a finger snap.
  • Ingetsu and Konan entered the Raikage Building, knocked out Omoi and Karui, and continued toward the Raikage’s office.
  • After receiving no response from Omoi and Karui, Samui told Mabui to stand beside her.

Ch. 234Mabui and Samui

Uchiha Ingetsu and Konan overwhelmed the Cloud Ninja in the Raikage Building and forced Mabui to guide them toward Yugito Nii. Mabui secretly hoped to pit Ingetsu against the force that had abducted Yugito, but Cloud Ninja attacked the group, and Ingetsu appeared ready to abandon his promise to spare them.

  • Konan attacked the Raikage Building with paper cranes, killing the elite Cloud Ninja before she and Ingetsu confronted Mabui and Samui.
  • Ingetsu asked where Yugito Nii was, and Mabui offered to lead him there if he spared the Cloud Ninja around the Raikage Building.
  • Ingetsu left the building with Konan, Mabui, and Samui while Cloud Ninja followed them through the village.
  • Mabui revealed to Samui that she planned to lure Ingetsu toward the main force and make him clash with the unknown group that had abducted Yugito Nii.
  • A Cloud Ninja captain accused Mabui of betraying the village and led an attack on the group, prompting Ingetsu to smile as the Cloud Ninja charged.

Ch. 235The True God’s Wrath

Ingetsu retaliated against the Cloud Ninja who attacked him, using his Complete Body Susanoo to devastate Kumogakure and take Mabui and Samui with him. At the same time, the Lightning Shadow was swallowed by a Rinnegan-bearing chameleon on the battlefield, where Darui faced simultaneous crises in the village and against the Eight-Tails.

  • The Cloud Ninja charged Ingetsu and his companions, so Ingetsu summoned his Complete Body Susanoo and drove its sword into Kumogakure, killing most of the village's defenders.
  • Mabui accepted Ingetsu's warning and continued guiding him, while Samui froze in shock before catching up; Konan reflected on the Susanoo's power.
  • Ingetsu carried Konan, Mabui, and Samui inside the Susanoo and headed toward the battlefield, where the Eight-Tails fought Pain's Summoning Giant Beasts.
  • The Lightning Shadow charged ahead alone, but a camouflaged Rinnegan-bearing Giant Chameleon swallowed him before the Cloud Ninja could react.
  • Darui ordered one unit to support Killer B and another to search for the Lightning Shadow, as tremors and dust from Kumogakure's destruction drew the army's attention.
  • Deva Path Pain saw the dark-red sky and wondered whether Ingetsu had also come to the Land of Lightning.

Ch. 236The Two-Tails and the Eight-Tails

Nagato captured Yugito Nii and used the Six Paths of Pain to fight the Eight-Tails, while Ingetsu arrived in Complete Body Susanoo and struck Gyūki from the sky. Nagato handed Yugito Nii over to Ingetsu and agreed to hold back the Cloud Ninja as Ingetsu faced the Eight-Tails.

  • Nagato told Ingetsu that he had already controlled the Two-Tails and was about to capture the Eight-Tails.
  • The Eight-Tails sensed that the Six Paths of Pain were controlled by one person and leapt toward Nagato’s hiding place, leaving the Cloud Ninja to pursue it.
  • Gyūki attacked Nagato’s cave, but Deva Path Pain blocked its punches with Shinra Tensei and surrounded it with the other Paths.
  • Ingetsu’s Complete Body Susanoo descended from the sky and collided with the Eight-Tails’ Lariat, sending Gyūki crashing to the ground.
  • Deva Path Pain brought Yugito Nii to Ingetsu and agreed to hold back the Cloud Ninja while Ingetsu dealt with the Eight-Tails.

Ch. 237Capture the Eight-Tails, End the Battle

Uchiha Ingetsu defeated the Eight-Tails by absorbing its Continuous Tailed Beast Balls and piercing its body with Susanoo’s Black Blade. The Eight-Tails awoke imprisoned in the Tailed Beast Space with the Three-Tails, Six-Tails, and Nine-Tails, and asked whether they had found a way to escape.

  • Ingetsu gave Mabui Soldier Pills to treat the gravely injured Yugito, and Mabui asked why he was capturing the Tailed Beasts.
  • The Eight-Tails and Killer B agreed to keep fighting, and Gyuki unleashed its Continuous Tailed Beast Balls at Ingetsu’s Complete Body Susanoo.
  • Ingetsu wielded Black Sword Dark Moon to slice apart and absorb the incoming Tailed Beast Balls, shocking the watching Cloud Ninjas.
  • Susanoo advanced on the Eight-Tails and pierced its body with the Black Blade, ending the battle.
  • Gyuki was dragged into the Tailed Beast Space, where it found the Three-Tails, Six-Tails, and Nine-Tails and asked how they had ended up there.

Ch. 238Fight or Flee

Ingetsu defeated the Eight-Tails and took control of Killer B, while Darui led surviving Cloud Ninja away from the battlefield. The Fourth Raikage faced Ingetsu alone but fell into a Mangekyō genjutsu and was struck by a Great Ball Rasengan.

  • The Eight-Tails realized it was trapped inside Ingetsu’s alternate dimension, while the Nine-Tails urged it to wait for a chance to escape.
  • Ingetsu absorbed the Eight-Tails with Complete Body Susanoo, and Darui ordered the stunned Cloud Ninja to flee toward a nearby harbor.
  • Ingetsu branded Killer B with the Eight Thousand Spears Imprint and sent him to Susanoo’s cockpit, where Samui and Mabui learned that the Eight-Tails had been captured.
  • The chameleon spat out the Fourth Raikage, who recovered from his apparent weakness and confronted Ingetsu, while Ingetsu intended to control him rather than kill him.
  • The Fourth Raikage rejected using Cloud Ninja as bait and charged Ingetsu alone, but his Lightning Lariat struck a genjutsu and Ingetsu’s Great Ball Rasengan came crashing down toward him.

Ch. 239Capture Lei Ying Alive

Ingetsu trapped the Lightning Shadow inside a Four Red Yang Formation and defeated him with a Wood Dragon, then captured him alive. He told Deva Path Pain that he had captured four Tailed Beasts: the Three-Tails, Six-Tails, Eight-Tails, and Nine-Tails.

  • The Lightning Shadow dodged Ingetsu’s Great Ball Rasengan, but Ingetsu’s Shadow Clones sealed them both inside a Four Red Yang Formation.
  • Ingetsu opened a connection to the Prison Space so Hashirama, Tobirama, and Minato could watch, then summoned a massive Wood Dragon against the charging Lightning Shadow.
  • The Wood Dragon overwhelmed the Lightning Shadow, restrained him with vines, and left the Cloud Ninja fleeing after witnessing their leader’s defeat.
  • Ingetsu captured the exhausted Lightning Shadow alive and brought him to Konan and Deva Path Pain.
  • Deva Path Pain asked how many Tailed Beasts Ingetsu had captured, and Ingetsu answered that he had four: the Three-Tails, Six-Tails, Eight-Tails, and Nine-Tails.

Ch. 240Take Over the Land of Lightning

Ingetsu captured the Lightning Shadow and Killer B, took the Eight-Tails, and flew toward Kumogakure to seize control of the Land of Lightning. Konoha sent a vast army north while Kisame and Zetsu headed to Konoha, and the Land of Lightning Daimyo ordered his forces to resist Ingetsu.

  • Konan joined Ingetsu, who used Eight Thousand Spears to imprint the Lightning Shadow and brought him back to the Susanoo cockpit beside Killer B, Mabui, Samui, and Yugito Nii.
  • Ingetsu told Killer B that the Eight-Tails had transferred to him and declared that he would eliminate Kumogakure’s threat and take control of it.
  • Ingetsu contacted the Uchiha Great Elder and ordered shinobi to suppress the remaining Cloud Ninja as his Susanoo flew toward Kumogakure.
  • A Konoha army of more than ten thousand shinobi led by Tamao, Nanfeng, and Izumi marched north, while Kisame and Zetsu abandoned their plan to aid the Cloud and headed to Konoha.
  • The Land of Lightning Daimyo refused to flee and ordered officials to gather their estate’s shinobi and samurai to repel Ingetsu’s forces.

Ch. 241Destroying the Hidden Cloud Village

Ingetsu destroyed the Land of Lightning’s palace and killed its Daimyo, declaring that the Land of Lightning and Hidden Cloud Village would disappear as his war against the Ninja World began. He then headed west toward Sunagakure, where Chiyo and Ebizo weighed how to respond to the Leaf Village’s approaching forces.

  • The Land of Lightning’s Daimyo ordered the ministers to resist Ingetsu, then disguised himself and fled the palace with two Cloud Ninja squads.
  • Ingetsu and Konan descended over the capital in Complete Body Susanoo, and Ingetsu used Yachihoko to locate the fleeing Daimyo.
  • Ingetsu’s black-flamed sword wave annihilated the Daimyo and his escorts, and he told the Lightning Shadow that the Land of Lightning and Hidden Cloud Village would be erased.
  • Ingetsu left the remaining Cloud Ninja to Konoha’s approaching army and flew west toward Sunagakure, saying the Fourth Shinobi World War had begun.
  • Chiyo and Ebizo discussed the Leaf Village’s forces near the Land of Rivers and the missing or weakened leaders of other villages, then debated allying with Kumogakure or surrendering.
