Tsunade learned from Kaguya that the Rogue Ninja Organization, the Hannya Group Organization, and other groups were forming an alliance to declare war on Konoha. As the organizations’ leaders met to discuss how to unite, Tsunade prepared Konoha’s response.

The Xuanyuan Group charged toward the Konoha forces because an unknown method inside their bodies made retreat fatal, while the Lightning Shadow watched and tried to understand the Oborozuki Organization’s plan. Might Guy and his students engaged the Xuanyuan Group leader, whose right hand carried Exploding Insects, and Guy arrived to protect Neji as the leader attacked him.

• The Xuanyuan Group leader saw fleeing members turn into blood under the unknown method and ordered the rest to keep charging toward the Konoha army.
• The Lightning Shadow learned that half of the more than five thousand enemies had died before reaching the front and told the defensive forces to stall while the main force stayed alert.
