When Olorun opened his eyes again, he saw Marivka.

The Pyro Archon was still the same—dignified and compassionate.

She had always encouraged, comforted, and supported every person of Natlan...

"Very good. You did it. You accomplished what had once been impossible."

He had won the resurrection match, too.

With Mu Yang's power supporting him, Olorun quickly returned to normal.

After gathering his thoughts and thanking everyone present, he spoke to the Captain.

"I'm sorry. You almost succeeded."

The Captain did not mind. "I have repaid the debt I owed you for saving my life."

Marivka's expression turned serious. "Olorun, I do not believe what you wanted was to sacrifice yourself in that ritual."

"But you did not give up either. Do you know what it is you are truly seeking?"

Olorun had already thought it through.

"I want an answer—an answer for why I exist here, why others cared for me, why I received so much concern..."

No one was born destined to become a hero.

Nor was anyone born deserving special treatment.

Olorun had found a reason to keep living.
