As they walked back toward the lounge, not a single person spoke, leaving the atmosphere rather heavy...
Tohka, Yoshino, Yekusaya, and Yuzuru tactfully walked behind them. Watching Wu Yan and Miku walk side by side in front, they kept exchanging glances in secret, seemingly communicating something.
Of course, though they were supposedly communicating with their eyes, Tohka's gaze contained only one emotion: confusion...
While Yoshino was not completely bewildered, her beautiful eyes were also full of puzzlement. Clearly, she did not understand what the other three older sisters' looks were trying to say.
Only Yekusaya and Yuzuru tirelessly exchanged glances, occasionally nodding or shaking their heads, using the slightest movements to convey what they wanted to say. And the other always seemed to understand, making one marvel at the fact that they had originally been twin sisters sharing one body...
As for Wu Yan and Miku, who walked in front in silence, neither looked back as they moved down the corridor. One raised his head to stare at the ceiling, while the other lowered hers to look at the floor. A stifling atmosphere surged back and forth between them.
Secretly glancing at Wu Yan, who was staring expressionlessly at the ceiling, Miku recalled the worry and disappointment in his eyes earlier. A wave of guilt suddenly rose within her, making her want to apologize to him.
But immediately afterward, Miku realized...
She had not done anything wrong, nor had she done anything to make anyone angry. Was there any need for her to apologize?...
At that thought, Miku swallowed the apology that was about to leave her lips, lowered her head again, and continued staring at the floor.
Yet Miku actually knew!
She knew why Wu Yan had reacted that way!
