Hovering in midair with the aid of her propulsion jets, Ellen, who was flying before all the DEM wizards, suddenly raised her head and looked ahead.
There, a streak of fiery light abruptly flashed out of thin air. It traced a smooth trajectory like a meteor before coming to a halt. As the flames dimmed, a figure standing upon fire appeared before everyone.
At the sight, the DEM wizards all raised their firearms and aimed them forward. Ellen tightened her grip on her Laser Saber, her violet eyes flickering faintly.
"So you finally showed yourself, 'Flame Demon'..."
Hearing that, Kotori raised her head, swept her gaze over the numerous wizards before her, and let out a mocking laugh.
"Just what one would expect from DEM. You've certainly made full use of your numerical advantage..."
"Though I'm not particularly happy about it..." Ellen's face remained utterly calm, unaffected by Kotori's provocation.
"...Isaac gave the order to complete the mission, and I will not disobey it. Besides, if I don't capture you quickly, things will become troublesome for me when your Brother returns..."
