On the main street outside the student cafeteria, Frey had only just climbed back to her feet inside that pitch-black iron cage when a hand suddenly shot out and grabbed her scarf.
Frey's vision blurred. A force—not particularly strong, but utterly impossible for her slender body to resist—surged through the hand gripping her scarf and yanked her over.
Thud...
With a dull impact, Frey's entire body slammed into the iron bars at the edge of the cage. Though she had not hit her head, the collision still hurt.
Frey reflexively raised her head and looked ahead. The next moment, a face entered her view—someone with the same hair color as hers, over seventy percent similar facial features, and equally red eyes, yet filled with sharp killing intent.
Staring at that handsome yet terrifyingly stern face, Frey blankly murmured.
"Loki..."
The boy Frey called Loki swept his gaze over the entire iron cage before coldly looking at her.
"Are you doing something so laughable again...?"
"Mm..." Frey seemed terribly afraid of Loki. She timidly shrank back, but still answered his question in a voice as faint as a mosquito's.
"If I don't... I won't be able to win... the 'Evening Party'..."
"Even if you do, you still won't defeat anyone in the 'Evening Party'!" Loki spat out words that were cold, ruthless, and brutally forceful.
"Have you still not realized just how weak you are? Have you not realized that you are the weakest among all the participants in the 'Evening Party'...?"
"The... weakest..." Frey was indeed dealt a considerable blow. However, she probably understood that herself, so she did not refute Loki. Instead, she spoke weakly.
