Amid an explosion-like muffled boom, Lucifer, his entire body smoking and crackling with electricity, was charred black all over. Other than his head and upper torso, his limbs, shoulders, and everything below his abdomen were instantly hacked into fragments by eight vortex-like slashes that became beams of light.
Not far away, Brunson's mind buzzed blankly. He staggered back, his eyes filled with shock.
Slashes at extreme speed had become beams of light, and at a godlike speed beyond the sound barrier, they had struck eight times in a span so brief it could practically be ignored—an eight-hit combo that seemed to erupt all at once?
Was that even an attack a human could perform?

Having lived this long, Brunson could say with absolute certainty that not even the highest-grade Automatons, equipped with the finest, most powerful, and most exceptional Magic Circuits, could accomplish such a thing!
At the very least, Brunson had never seen an Automaton capable of it! With such a divine technique, there was absolutely no way he could defeat this opponent!
Realizing this, Brunson finally failed to suppress the panic in his heart and retreated again and again, only to quickly force himself to calm down.
Though that godlike eight-hit combo was indeed unbelievable, Wu Yan had made a fatal mistake.
Automatons were not human!
As long as Eve's Heart remained undamaged, then even if everything from the limbs and shoulders down to below the abdomen vanished, or even if the head were cut off, an Automaton could still repair itself!
Lucifer's current damage was certainly severe, but Eve's Heart had not been damaged. His Magic Circuits could still activate. He could still fight.
He had not lost yet!
Unfortunately, Brunson was wrong again.
