More precisely, the Scarlet Devil Mansion beside Mist Lake at the foot of Youkai Mountain!
At the invitation of Izayoi Sakuya, the Scarlet Devil Mansion's head maid, many youkai had set off for the Scarlet Devil Mansion to attend the banquet it was hosting.
Gensokyo was a true land of paradise!
At least, that was the case for the various races living here that possessed mysterious powers, such as youkai.
Under the constraints of the Spell Card rules, there was no true conflict in Gensokyo. It could be considered relatively peaceful, and youkai did not need to worry about making a living like humans did. Thus, the youkai of Gensokyo could be said to have far too much free time on their hands.
Under such circumstances, banquets were what Gensokyo's youkai loved most.
Not only could they pass the time and eat and drink to their hearts' content, but all sorts of interesting things happened at banquets. For Gensokyo's youkai, hosting banquets was what they loved most, and they likewise loved attending them.
