At the same time, in one of the clearings within the Giant Beast Forest, such a scene was unfolding...
Around this deserted clearing, amid the trees and brush, pairs of crimson and sickly green eyes suddenly began appearing one after another, like wolves lying in wait in the grass, filling the air with a sense of danger.
"Whoosh... whoosh..."
The sound of wings beating echoed through the sky, mingling with the wind as enormous black shadows approached from every direction, gradually closing in on the clearing as though surrounding something.
A closer look revealed that they were gigantic birds flying through the sky!
Dragon-bird-like creatures, giant winged pythons, shaggy lions with eagle wings, and lone wolves that could fly despite having no wings at all... They were all flying magical beasts!
The sky above the entire clearing was filled with these giant flying magical beasts. They slowly surrounded the clearing, casting shadows across both sky and ground.
Almost at the same moment the flying magical beasts encircled the clearing, the owners of those crimson and sickly green eyes within the surrounding trees and brush gradually revealed themselves.
Naturally, they were all magical beasts!
These magical beasts belonged to no fixed species and came in every conceivable shape and form. Their numbers were densely packed, numbering in the tens of thousands. As if they had their sights set on prey, they neither roared nor charged, merely closing in on the clearing bit by bit. The sight alone was enough to make one shudder.
If that were all, it would have been manageable. The most terrifying part was that some of these magical beasts were so enormous they could only be described
