"Liz!"
Asuna glared furiously at Liz, who was chasing Shion and Silica around everywhere. She ground her teeth, then looked to Wu Yan for help.
Wu Yan gave a bitter smile. "Go on. Don't let that crazy woman make a spectacle of herself everywhere. It's a joyous day—what kind of behavior is that...?"
Asuna nodded, and Sachi hurriedly added, "I'll come too!"
Then Asuna and Sachi ran over to Liz and grabbed hold of her, continuously scolding her about something. Liz looked thoroughly disgruntled, while Wu Yan, Kirito, Keita, Klein, and Agil exchanged glances.
Wu Yan patted Kirito on the shoulder and sighed sympathetically. "I'm really worried about what your future days will be like..."
Kirito smiled awkwardly, his shoulders drooping as though life no longer held any meaning. He looked unexpectedly pitiful, and Klein covered his forehead at the sight.
"Why didn't you invite more people? Liz probably wouldn't have gone this crazy if you had..."
At that, Kirito gave him a dead-fish stare and fixed his eyes on Klein until Klein felt chills run through his body. Only then did he say faintly, "I barely know anyone. Liz only has a few close friends too. Where were we supposed to find so many people to invite...?"
"What kind of thing is that to say?" Klein desperately pounded Kirito's shoulder, nearly knocking the breath out of him. "I, Klein, may not have much else, but I have the widest social circle around! If you want to invite people, just leave it to me. I guarantee you'll be satisfied!"
"Yeah, more satisfied than you could possibly handle!" Kirito shot Klein a half-smiling glance. "Last time, at Yan's wedding, plenty of people came because of you. But did we know even one of them...?"
