On a bright, sunny morning, Wu Yan was, as usual, sleeping in. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his stomach. The drowsiness vanished from his head without a trace, and he let out a muffled groan.
Covering his aching stomach on reflex, Wu Yan groaned and grimaced as he lifted his head to look ahead. The next moment, through the tear-blurred vision brought on by the pain, he saw a petite figure standing at the foot of the bed, one foot still planted on his stomach.
Seeing that, anyone who was not an idiot should have been able to guess what had happened...
"K-Kotori..." Wu Yan gritted his teeth, clutching his stomach as he spoke tearfully. "Are you trying to murder your dear—"
"Hmm..." Perhaps sensing what Wu Yan was about to say, Kotori immediately cut him off with a soft but threatening hum. Her crimson eyes brimmed with danger. Seeing this, Wu Yan hurriedly changed his words. "Are you trying to murder your dear Brother?"
"Hmph..." Kotori flicked her red twin tails and, utterly unconcerned, pressed down harder with the foot on Wu Yan's stomach, even twisting it twice.
"If I didn't do this, who knew what price I'd have to pay to get you out of bed? And besides, you're not my real Brother. You're only my adopted one!"
Perhaps recalling the treatment she had received whenever she tried to wake Wu Yan before, Kotori's little face flushed. Then, somewhat embarrassed and indignant, she continued stomping on his stomach as though venting her anger.
