With their wings spread, they flew while transforming the wings behind them into gun emplacements. Every time they spread their wings, scorching beams of light shot out and blasted toward the other, only to be blocked by a barrier around her body that shimmered with an inexplicable luster and drifted like steam.
The beams that were blocked did not simply vanish. Instead, as though they had been reflected away, they turned into refracted rays and struck in every direction, including the ground!
Amid booming explosions, fire flared. Roads and buildings below were smashed apart and burned down. Before long, a street that had been completely intact was reduced to ruins!
