(I originally said I'd take the day off if the power went out, but I heard the electricity should be back tonight, so I decided to endure it one more time and spend another night online...)

Itogami Island was no longer peaceful because of the following announcement...
'An unpredictable abnormality has occurred in Itogami Island's Dragon Vein. In order to thoroughly investigate this abnormality and prevent unnecessary disaster from befalling Itogami Island, all residents of Itogami Island are to temporarily evacuate for one week starting today and cooperate with the investigation into the Dragon Vein!'
Those were the exact words released by Itogami City's upper management!
What was a Dragon Vein?!
A Dragon Vein was simply another name for a Spirit Vein!
In this world, certain places possessed land naturally filled with spiritual power so immense that human effort could never hope to match it. The source of that innate power was a Spirit Vein—the so-called Dragon Vein—a massive channel of spiritual energy flowing across the surface of the Earth!
Because the spiritual power within a Dragon Vein far exceeded people's imagination, and because it offered a degree of protection to the places above it much like feng shui, people believed that the spiritual power leaking from a Dragon Vein could become the lifeblood of a city built upon it and lead that city toward prosperity.
Thus, whenever someone discovered an area through which a Dragon Vein flowed, that area would generally be fiercely contested and developed into a large, prosperous city.
