Startling thunder shook the ten thousand miles, its might towering over the cosmos and stirring the four seas. The six directions lost their order—who could set them right?

Violent lightning appeared before the four of them. Bolts constantly flashed across the sky and struck the ground, thunder falling everywhere. It seemed that taking even a single step inside would condemn one to eternal ruin beneath the lightning. Looking out over this place, they could not see a single living creature. Only a sparse few small trees stood upright, yet they had long since lost all their branches and leaves. They were merely withered trunks stuck into the earth.

Hu Haoran calmly gazed at everything before him. He did not use Soul Power to shield himself from the lightning here, instead allowing it to strike his body. The Purple Firmament Thunder Art circulated continuously within him, while his Soul Core trembled. He used the thunder here to temper his body once more, and the lightning drawn into him was completely devoured by his Soul Core.

Elder Zhong and Elder Feng naturally sensed the changes in Hu Haoran's body. They exchanged a glance and nodded slightly, faint smiles appearing on their faces.

Hu Moxie was in much the same situation as Hu Haoran. He too was using the power of the lightning here to temper his body. When he had become a Soul Sage, Hu Moxie had also awakened his Soul Core. The lightning here had become food for it as well.

Among the four of them, Elder Feng was perhaps the only one using his Sword Intent to sever the lightning approaching his
