Hu Xi met Leng Xuewu on Snow God Mountain while protecting her from an assassin. Despite being seriously wounded and two ranks below his opponent, he placed himself between Leng and the assassin. The two later made a binding vow to protect and love one another for life, with Xiao Lingzhan as witness. 23 25
