"Yes, Captain." Drake had only just learned that Roy was his target. He could not help but grumble inwardly—had he somehow offended Vice Admiral Jando? Was he deliberately sent here to die?
After Roy broke through to become a Sword Master, his strength increased exponentially. He easily suppressed the two Marine rear admirals and captured them alive.
After squeezing out the last of their value, Rear Admiral Weite departed in bitter hatred and resentment. Drake, however, turned out exactly as Roy had expected. After accepting the measure Roy planted within him, he became one of Roy's men.
It was not that Drake feared death. To become a powerhouse upon the seas, one could be cruel, one could be sinister, one could be calculating—but one could never be cowardly. Drake had risen to the rank of Marine rear admiral, so naturally, he was no coward.
He had already borne the stain left by his father and had never had an easy time in the Marines. Moreover, after witnessing the evil hidden within the Marines, the justice he had once upheld began to waver. In truth, he had long considered leaving the Marines and striking out on his own.

Drake's expression did not change. "I will follow your will. However, if I
