In the middle-tier Virtual World, the dusky flood met resistance. Countless armies in white appeared, launching encirclement campaigns and arrests against the dusky torrent within each Pocket Dimension. The Virtual Evil God was resisting, continuously devising and training targeted programs with the golden ring as its objective, hoping to withstand the ring's erosion and crack its true nature.
But its rate of cracking was slower than the golden ring's rate of counter-cracking.
If the computational power of the world amounted to ten thousand, the golden ring occupied only one or two parts of it. To virtual programs, the difference in computational power was like the difference in a martial artist's cultivation; a gap of ten thousand times should have meant an absolutely crushing advantage.
But although the Information Ocean possessed immense computational power, its expenditures were equally immense. From the rendering and operation of fully simulated worlds and middle-tier worlds to all manner of other expenses, the largest share of the Information Ocean's computing power was tied up. What could be freed up was merely one percent of one ten-thousandth.
A hundred against one seemed to pose no problem at all.
But the golden ring's foundations far surpassed those of the Virtual Evil God.
The Virtual Evil God had seven Lesser Celestial Circuits in every Greater Celestial Circuit, while the golden ring had nine. That represented the disparity in foundation, potential, algorithms, limits, and growth rate.
A slight difference in algorithms could become a difference without bounds. Besides, the golden ring was stronger than the Virtual Evil God by far more than a little.
Every Lesser Celestial Circuit of the golden ring was much stronger than the Virtual Evil God's. Every Greater Celestial Circuit also had two additional Lesser Celestial Circuits. Layer upon layer accumulated, ring after ring revolved, and
