Ahem, ahem!
The nurses nearly jumped out of their skins. Turning around and seeing the white lab coat and the folder never out of her hand, they hurriedly greeted her, "Director Shi."
"No patrols to make? So many veteran cadres are recuperating aboard the Forward, and all you do is stare at one person?"
The young nurses spoke as softly as mosquitoes buzzing. "We were just providing care..."
"Were you really there to provide care? I'm almost too embarrassed to call you out on it!" Doctor Shi coldly reprimanded them a few times. The nurses scattered in a hubbub, each returning to her post.
After the nurses had left, Doctor Shi headed toward the training room, her high heels thudding across the floor.
Unlike the nurses, who had lurked at the side for a furtive peek, she pushed the door open and walked in openly. As she approached Shi Tie Zhu, the enormous heat rolling off him hit her head-on. He radiated heat as vigorously as a furnace.
"Doctor Shi." Shi Tie Zhu set down the barbell and greeted her.
Doctor Shi swept her gaze over Shi Tie Zhu from head to toe, observing his signs and trying to determine whether there were any hidden concerns beneath that exuberant vitality.
But the more she looked—up and down, left and right—the more she felt that not only were there no hidden concerns, but his body seemed to be changing in some particularly perfect direction.
"Uh..." She opened her folder and glanced through something before saying, "Sergeant Major Shi Tie Zhu, it seems you've recovered well. But to prevent any oversights, I recommend that you come in for a full-body examination."
"No problem." Shi Tie Zhu wiped away his sweat. He had been meaning to get checked anyway, to see whether there
