Shi Tie Zhu grew up in an orphanage. At age ten, the orphanage director gave him the name “Shi Tie Zhu” and taught him to read and write with an old dictionary. A jade pendant engraved with the characters for “Shi” and “Tie” was his only clue to his origins. 850 870

At sixteen, he enlisted in the military. Initially lacking social skills and common sense, he nevertheless excelled in physical training and combat. Li Yunmeng recruited him into her newly formed East Wind special-operations team, where only six trainees survived six months of punishing selection. 870

He became a Battle Hero and the East Wind Company’s flag bearer, but decades of warfare left him severely injured: deafened, chronically ill, and missing internal organs. Shi Tiexin then appeared within his spiritual sea, claiming to be an alternate self from another worldline.
