"Gah?"
A puzzled sound came from the Goblin's mouth.
Even among Goblins, it was one of the lowest-ranking. That was why it had not followed the main force, choosing instead to stay behind and see if it could pick up some "leftovers."
It had found leftovers just as expected, but where had these human adventurers suddenly come from?
Watching the humans approach with hostile expressions, the Goblin tightened its grip on its wooden club and thought for about a second.
Then it immediately dropped the club, grabbed the "delicacy" it had just found nearby, and stuffed it into its mouth.
The next second, its head flew straight into the air.
"You still wanted to die with a full belly..."
Huck's mouth twitched as he lowered his sword.
"Well, I can't let you have your wish!"
As he spoke, he stomped on the Goblin's corpse.
Though he usually seemed carefree and liked to fool around, Huck was never careless when it was time to get serious.
"The Goblins can't have gone far. Hurry after them!"
Landon quickly deduced a few things from the Goblin before him. He continued down the village road. Everywhere he looked, there were still signs of Goblin destruction and slaughter. They also ran into several scattered Goblins along the way, just like the first one, rummaging through the ruins for something.
The traces left by a large Goblin force passing through were quite obvious. Even after leaving the village, they could still be clearly seen.
"They went into the mountains nearby."
Alston examined where the tracks led. "If I'm not mistaken, the villagers probably evacuated into the mountains beforehand as well. We need to hurry."
Everyone nodded and quickened their pace toward the mountains.
Sid, Shera, and the other agile-class adventurers, including Lin Mo, rushed ahead first.
