On this continent, if one had to name the most important thing for humans, it would undoubtedly be talent.
But if one had to name the most important thing for all living beings on the continent, it would undoubtedly be bloodline!
Why were powerful monsters so powerful?
Because of bloodline!
Some monsters were born so weak that they could not even defeat ordinary humans who had never embarked on a class path. Others, such as dragons, possessed strength comparable to the Transcendent Grade from the moment they were born!
That was the difference in bloodlines.
Talent was the world's gift to humanity, while bloodline was the root of a creature's essence, the division of life levels.
Bloodline... this power was not something humans originally possessed.
Humans possessed a capacity for cultivation that no other creature had. They could change everything through their own efforts. Even though talent varied from person to person, those lacking in talent could still, through hard work, reach heights they could never originally have climbed.
That was impossible for monsters.
Whatever level a monster was born into, it could only remain at that level for its entire life.
All their power came from their bloodline, and thus, they were also sealed in place by it.
That was why some people envied monsters and Elves for their innate strength, while monsters likewise envied humans for their limitless potential to break free of fate's shackles.
Normally, the two could not be obtained at the same time.
But that was only under normal circumstances...
Take Half-beastmen, for example. They were an extremely unusual group.
Although the overwhelming majority—almost all—Half-beastmen inherited only the flaws. They could neither fully obtain the bloodline power of beastmen, inheriting only a small part of it, nor did they possess much talent as "humans."
Thus,
