Ten minutes later.
The two Lapahn Rabbits lay sprawled on the ground in complete submission. They were covered in blood, their fur scorched black by the explosions.
Yota wiped the sweat from his forehead, a lingering look of fear on his face.
"If I hadn't brought Exploding Tags, I probably really couldn't have beaten these two rabbits. Damn it, these rabbits' physiques are probably even more terrifying than those of taijutsu-focused jonin!"
Of course, ninja battles were not decided by physical constitution alone. With the enhancement of Chakra, pure physical strength was not all that significant.
But the Pirate World was clearly completely different from the Naruto World. Whether human or animal, the upper limit of their physical constitution here far surpassed that of the Naruto World.
It was obvious when he thought about it. People in the Naruto World were already different from people in the real world—their bodies even contained one or two times more cells than ordinary humans, not to mention the power system of Chakra brought by the extraterrestrial Ōtsutsuki.
The gap between people of the Pirate World and people of the real world was even greater—saying that people like Kaido and Charlotte Linlin shared the same genes as real-world humans would practically be an insult to one's intelligence.
Kakashi Hatake going to war at the age of five and becoming a genin was already considered the limit. Someone like Charlotte Linlin, who could destroy a giant village at five, was so absurd that no one in the Naruto World could even dream of it.
Yota's battle with the two rabbits just now had not truly been dangerous. The rabbits basically could not hit Yota, while Yota could not hurt them at all.
Chakra greatly enhanced speed, agility, and neural reflexes. Because of his young age, Yota had put considerable effort into these areas. No matter how powerful the two Lapahns' attacks were, they were useless if they could not hit him.
Of course, the kunai in Yota's hand could at most puncture a little skin when it struck the tough-bodied Lapahns. It probably could not even injure their muscles. The exquisite Samurai sword in his hand could only leave a shallow bloody gash.
In the end, Yota had no choice but to use his precious Exploding Tags, finally blasting the two rabbits flat.
Yet after being beaten down, the two rabbits seemed to undergo a complete change, acting as though Yota's every word was law, as if they had instantly been beaten into submission.
Yota was not particularly surprised. He vaguely remembered that animals in the Pirate World were like this: once beaten into submission, they would obey you.
Not only that, but the two Lapahns were quite intelligent. Yota merely asked them to show him the way, and the two rabbits obediently led him to the outskirts of a town.
"All right, you two can go now." After reaching his destination, Yota waved goodbye to the rabbits. He even treated their wounds with a Hemostasis Technique. Only then did the two rabbits reluctantly part with him.
Yota's Hemostasis Technique could only be considered an emergency measure in the Naruto World, yet after the two Lapahns received only a little treatment from it, their injuries were already mostly healed. Their absurd constitutions made Yota suck in a cold breath.
"These two rabbits have such ridiculous physiques. No wonder all those named characters in the original story could completely recover from any injury within a few days."
"Everyone in the Pirate World is a monster!"
The thought flashed through his mind as Yota entered the town.
The town did not seem especially lively. With ice and snow everywhere, there naturally were not many people wandering outside.
Still, judging by the townspeople's spirits and clothing, they seemed to be living fairly well. Not everyone looked energetic, but at least no one wore a sorrowful expression. Their clothes were not luxurious, yet they were warm enough, and no one looked malnourished.
"These people are doing pretty well. And there are quite a few clinics here... Looks like that Munch-Munch Fruit user hasn't taken the throne yet!"
Yota vaguely remembered that this country's King had eaten the incredibly powerful and absurd Munch-Munch Fruit, only to use it in an utterly pathetic manner.
When that guy became King, he seemed to have driven all the doctors out of the country and turned his nation into a complete mess.
Even among the terrible Kings in the One Piece manga, he was among the very worst.
Seeing that the man had not yet taken the throne and that Drum Kingdom was still a major medical nation, Yota was quite pleased. As a Medical-nin, he was deeply curious about One Piece's medical techniques. The medical standards here could definitely be considered black technology.
If they could complement his Medical Ninjutsu, they could greatly improve his abilities as well.
At the same time, however, he heard the surrounding townspeople whispering among themselves.
"Where did this child come from?"
"He's dressed so lightly. Could he be homeless?"
"He looks so pitiful!"
Yota's lips twitched slightly, but he still headed toward the largest clinic in town.
He did want to find Dr. Kureha, who had lived for over a hundred years, and learn medicine from her. But everything had to be done step by step. At the very least, he should first learn about the ordinary medical practices of the Pirate World and see how they differed from those of the Naruto World.
"Little one, are you sick?" Inside the clinic, a man who looked more like a butcher than a doctor, broad and powerfully built beneath a tight white coat, curiously asked Yota as he entered.
"No, Doctor. Are you taking apprentices here? I'd like to become one."
"An apprentice?" The butcher-like doctor glanced at the tiny Yota and waved his hand. "What are you talking about? We—"
"We're desperately short on apprentices!" A blonde, blue-eyed nurse emerged. Beautiful and voluptuous, she looked at the young and adorable Yota, whose features carried a faint hint of maturity, with an overflowing maternal expression.
Incidentally, Yota could only be considered a delicate-looking little boy in the Naruto World, but in the Pirate World, he counted as a handsome young lad.
After all, the average appearance of men in the Pirate World was just a little lower. Perhaps all those looks had gone to the women instead.
"Cough, cough, cough..." The butcher doctor coughed twice, then saw the nurse turn her gaze toward him. "Is there something you wanted, Doctor?"
In the end, Yota watched in surprise as the doctor, who looked about as much like a butcher as before, turned red and forced out, "Uh... no, no. Kid, you're an apprentice at our clinic now!"
Well, it seemed the nurse was actually the one in charge of this clinic. But then again, all kinds of oddballs existed in One Piece. Compared to the serious and dark-toned Naruto World, it was much more cheerful, so this did not seem particularly strange.
