Grand Finale

By noon, Lana's premonition had reached its peak. Even Deckard Cain, the prophet, could tell something was off with her.

"Is that lord returning?" Deckard Cain stroked his white beard as he spoke. "Come to think of it, both the Burning Hells and the High Heavens have vanished without a trace lately—that lord truly accomplished something extraordinary."

Ordinary people did not know, but prophets as knowledgeable as Deckard Cain, as well as powerful mages, paladins, necromancers, and the like, could all sense that Heaven and Hell had completely vanished.

It was not the kind of disappearance where the gates of Heaven and Hell had closed and travel between them was impossible. Rather, the vast separate dimensions of Heaven and Hell themselves, along with the holy light and hellish energy they radiated, had all dissipated completely.

Not to mention that a large number of angels whose wings Yota had stripped away had appeared in the Sanctuary World. Ordinary people would never believe those people were angels, but Deckard Cain knew perfectly well that they truly were angels—they had merely lost the power of Heaven.

Not only had Hell been finished, but Heaven had gone down with it. Deckard Cain did not say it aloud, but he was delighted inside—Heaven and humanity had never been particularly steadfast allies. If not for the existence of Hell, those people in Heaven might have long since sought a way to destroy the humans of Sanctuary.

Now that Yota had wiped out both Heaven and Hell in one stroke, every hidden threat to Sanctuary had been removed.

Of course, Deckard Cain did not speak of Yota's strength either, but inwardly, he was shocked beyond measure—he had utterly destroyed two worlds even higher-level than Sanctuary. Could Yota be the reincarnation of the Creator God?
