Ch. 161Fight to the Death

Yota sacrificed himself to blunt Kaido’s devastating Flame Bagua, leaving Kaido badly injured but alive. Ace and Yamato confronted Kaido, who demanded Yamato return to the Beasts Pirates before preparing to fight them.

  • Kaido unleashed Flame Bagua, sending the battlefield into chaos as fighters fled and the Nine Red Scabbards charged to stop him.
  • Yota expanded into a massive metal giant, flew toward Kaido, and concentrated his Haki into a blade that severed Kaido’s horn and helped block the attack.
  • Kaido found Yota burned to charcoal and mourned the loss of an opponent who had pushed him to the brink of death.
  • Ace struck Kaido with a Conqueror’s Haki-infused punch, and Yamato joined him, attacking with Glacial Fang and forcing Kaido back.
  • Kaido demanded that Yamato return to the Beasts Pirates, but she refused and vowed to defeat him.

Ch. 162Crushing Kaido

Yota revived after Kaido’s attack and revealed that his power had surged, then overwhelmed Kaido with the Eight Gates and Susanoo Armor. He left the battlefield carrying the nearly unconscious Kaido, while Ace and Yamato struggled to believe how strong their companion had become.

  • Kaido realized Yota had survived his attack and watched him return stronger, while Ace and Yamato reacted with shock and relief.
  • Yota revealed that his death had lifted his seal and that he had opened the Third Gate of the Eight Gates.
  • Yota activated the Sixth Gate and Susanoo Armor, then used his speed to launch Kaido into the air and smash him into the ground.
  • Yota battered Kaido with a two-minute barrage of punches as Ace and Yamato watched in disbelief.
  • Yota flew out of the crater carrying Kaido, who was barely conscious and close to death.

Ch. 163A Great Victory

Yota defeated Kaido and the Beasts Pirates, then helped Wano Country decide how to handle the defeated crew. He chose to keep the pirates as his prisoners and planned to strip them of their Devil Fruit abilities.

  • Yota spared Kaido’s life and defeated King, Jack, and the other Beasts Pirates officers, ending the battle with the crew’s surrender.
  • Yota, Ace, and Yamato heard Asura Doji call for Kaido and the Beasts Pirates to be killed, but Kozuki Hiyori stopped him and chose imprisonment instead.
  • Yota offered to remove the Beasts Pirates’ Devil Fruit abilities, and Kozuki Hiyori agreed.
  • Yota visited the Sea Stone prison and told King that he considered the Beasts Pirates his prisoners, not Wano Country’s, and intended to deal with them himself.

Ch. 164Extracting Devil Fruits

Yota offered the captured Beasts Pirates a choice between surrender and having their Devil Fruits extracted, then collected nearly twenty fruits from those who refused. He extracted Kaido’s Devil Fruit as well, leaving its fate in his hands.

  • Queen tried to surrender to Yota, who warned him that he would extract Queen’s Devil Fruit if he refused to join.
  • Yota extracted King’s Devil Fruit and absorbed information about King’s rare physiology into the Brain Chip.
  • Yota released officers who surrendered and extracted the Devil Fruits of those who refused; Page One and Ulti joined him.
  • Yota collected nearly twenty Devil Fruits, while sparing Tama’s artificial Devil Fruit users, who had become part of Wano’s forces.
  • Kaido asked Yota what Devil Fruit he had eaten, but Yota sent him into the Dark Space and extracted his azure, scale-patterned Devil Fruit.

Ch. 165A Special Devil Fruit

After extracting Kaido’s Azure Dragon Fruit, Yota healed some of his injuries and learned that the Beasts Pirates had three prized Devil Fruits hidden underwater. Kaido offered their location in exchange for healing, and Yota set out to inspect the fruits, including a rare Mantis Shrimp Zoan.

  • Yota took Kaido’s body structure blueprint and injected him with Yang Release Chakra to prevent his injuries from worsening after losing the Azure Dragon Fruit.
  • Kaido asked Yota to heal him completely, but Yota said Kaido’s current condition was better for everyone.
  • Kaido offered the locations of the Beasts Pirates’ treasured Devil Fruits in exchange for healing.
  • Kaido explained that the hidden cache held two Ancient Zoans and a rare Special Common Zoan, the Shrimp-Shrimp Fruit, Mantis Shrimp Form.
  • Yota received the coordinates, healed more than half of Kaido’s injuries, and went to inspect the Devil Fruits.

Ch. 166Treasure

Yota ate the Mantis Shrimp Fruit, strengthened Wano Country with Devil Fruits and ninja techniques, and restored its polluted land. After Wano’s recovery, Kozuki Hiyori joined Yota in the hot spring to scrub his back.

  • Yota ate the Mantis Shrimp Fruit and discovered that it greatly increased the speed and power of his punches.
  • Yota released the Beasts Pirates members whose value he had drained and gave Ancient Zoan Devil Fruits to Denjiro, Kawamatsu, and Asura Doji.
  • Over the next month, Yota used ninja techniques to restore Wano’s polluted land and produce enough food to feed its people for more than a decade.
  • Yota soaked in a hot spring after training, and Kozuki Hiyori entered wearing a bath towel and offered to scrub his back.

Ch. 167Leaving Wano Country

Yota and Kozuki Hiyori grew closer while restoring Wano Country, but Yota decided it was time to return to sea. Before leaving, he strengthened her and resolved to capture Kaido someday, then flew away from Wano Country as an azure dragon.

  • Yota and Kozuki Hiyori spent several months handling Wano Country's affairs and improving its natural environment.
  • Yota told Kozuki Hiyori he was leaving, and she accepted his decision.
  • Yota enhanced Kozuki Hiyori's strength so she could defend herself and Wano Country.
  • Yota regretted letting Kaido go and planned to capture him using an Artificial Azure Dragon Fruit and a millet dumpling.
  • Yota left Wano Country by transforming into an azure dragon and flying away.

Ch. 168Return to the Whitebeard Pirates

Whitebeard and the crew heard from Ace and Yamato that Yota had defeated Kaido and extracted the Beasts Pirates’ Devil Fruits, leaving them astonished and Blackbeard coveting Yota’s ability. The story left off with Yota arriving aboard the Moby Dick after transforming from an azure dragon.

  • Whitebeard praised Ace, Yamato, and Yota for defeating Kaido, and Ace and Yamato credited Yota with overwhelming him.
  • Whitebeard and the crew struggled to believe Yota had become strong enough to crush Kaido, while Blackbeard wondered whether Yota’s Munch-Munch Fruit could help him obtain the Devil Fruits he wanted.
  • The lookout spotted Kaido approaching, and the crew noticed the azure dragon was missing Kaido’s horns, mane, and chest scars.
  • Whitebeard calmed the commanders as the dragon landed on the Moby Dick, shrank, and revealed Yota.

Ch. 169Alien Yota?

Yota explained his transformation and sudden power growth to the Whitebeard Pirates as racial abilities, then told Teach and Whitebeard that he was an alien from another planet. The chapter left Whitebeard reflecting on how much stronger life in the universe might be.

  • Yota told the Whitebeard Pirates that reaching adulthood had awakened his full form and that his race could wield multiple Devil Fruit powers.
  • Whitebeard stopped Teach's questions and called for a feast to celebrate Yota's defeat of Kaido.
  • After the feast, Yota told Teach that his race could eat three Devil Fruits and that he had arrived on the planet through a failed space-time transfer.
  • Yota told Teach that an electronic chip in his brain had revealed his alien origins, leaving Teach wondering whether his own unusual body came from alien ancestry.
  • Yota told Whitebeard that aliens were generally stronger than the Four Emperors, and Whitebeard lamented that he had not learned about the universe sooner.

Ch. 170Duel with Whitebeard

Yota told Whitebeard he planned to leave the Whitebeard Pirates and explore the seas, so Whitebeard challenged him to prove he could travel freely. Their spar showed that Yota’s strength and physique rivaled Whitebeard’s, but he lacked Conqueror’s Haki.

  • Yota decided to leave the Whitebeard Pirates and explore elsewhere, and Whitebeard agreed that he was ready to seek adventure.
  • Whitebeard challenged Yota to demonstrate his strength before sailing freely, and Yota opened a gateway to the Kamui dimension.
  • Yota and Whitebeard emerged on a deserted island, where Yota promised not to use his dangerous eye ability against Pops.
  • Yota and Whitebeard clashed fists with Armament Haki, and Whitebeard judged Yota’s strength comparable to his own and his physique comparable to Kaido’s.
  • Whitebeard struck Yota with a blow wrapped in Conqueror’s Haki, revealing the Haki Yota still lacked.

Ch. 171The Power of a Single Strike

Yota revealed his Dark-Dark Fruit and other powers as he clashed with Whitebeard, then unleashed his full strength and sent Whitebeard flying into the sea. After rescuing him, Yota healed Whitebeard’s injuries and restored some of his fading vitality.

  • Yota transformed into a half-dragon and used the Dark-Dark Fruit to nullify Whitebeard’s Tremor-Tremor Fruit attack, matching Whitebeard’s Haki before they both stepped back.
  • Whitebeard realized Yota had more than two Devil Fruit abilities and asked to witness the peak of his strength.
  • Yota activated Six Paths Lightning Release Chakra Mode, the Eight Gates Formation, and Susanoo Armor, then struck Whitebeard with overwhelming speed and power.
  • Yota found Whitebeard dazed in the sea with broken ribs and a sunken chest, then apologized for losing control of his first full-power attack.
  • Yota used Secret Technique - Cell Expulsion to heal Whitebeard and restore some of his vitality.

Ch. 172Setting Out Again

After testing Yota’s strength, Whitebeard accepted that his era was ending, while Ace and Yamato stayed behind rather than travel with Yota. Yota set out again with Queen, Page One, and Ulti, directing them toward Punk Hazard to retrieve something.

  • Yota healed Whitebeard’s wound, then used Kamui to leave him on a deserted island overnight before bringing him back the next morning.
  • At the farewell banquet, Ace and Yamato declined Yota’s offer to travel with him, and Yota departed as an Azure Dragon.
  • Thatch found a sack of Devil Fruits that Yota had left aboard Whitebeard’s ship, including Ancient Zoans and ordinary Zoans.
  • Yota found Queen, Page One, and Ulti waiting with a ship at their arranged meeting place.
  • Yota asked Page One to command the ship and set their course for Punk Hazard to pick up some things.

Ch. 173Dressrosa

Yota’s group stopped at Dressrosa on the way to Punk Hazard, while Doflamingo worried over Kaido’s demands for improved artificial Devil Fruits. When Doflamingo learned Queen had arrived, he feared Kaido was about to force another confrontation.

  • Ulti insisted on exploring Dressrosa, and Yota allowed her to take Page One ashore while Queen stayed behind to avoid being recognized.
  • Doflamingo recalled that Kaido had beaten him over artificial Devil Fruits and demanded versions that the Millet-Millet Fruit could not control.
  • Doflamingo had beaten Caesar after Caesar said he needed a sample of a millet dumpling to research the problem.
  • Gladius warned Doflamingo that Queen the Plague had arrived in Dressrosa, and Doflamingo feared Kaido was demanding the goods or preparing for war.

Ch. 174A Perfect Plan (to Court Death)

Doflamingo learned that Yota was in Dressrosa and mistakenly believed Queen had come to capture him. He proposed turning Yota into a toy to erase everyone’s memory of him, while Queen privately saw Doflamingo’s plan as a chance to earn favor with his new crew.

  • Violet told Doflamingo that Yota, a Whitebeard Pirates member, was in Dressrosa.
  • Doflamingo called Queen and wrongly concluded that he had come to capture Yota.
  • Queen realized Doflamingo had not heard that he had left the Beasts Pirates and privately considered exploiting the misunderstanding.
  • Doflamingo proposed having Sugar turn Yota into a toy so everyone would forget him.
  • Doflamingo assured Queen that Sugar’s Hobby-Hobby Fruit could not be undone once it worked.

Ch. 175Clash

Yota left the arena and confronted Doflamingo, who had come to capture him for the Beasts Pirates. After Doflamingo’s strings failed to restrain him, Pica buried Yota deep underground, but Yota remained unharmed and prepared to fight back.

  • Yota decided to leave the arena and head for the Flower Field, sensing that powerful pursuers and watching toys were following him.
  • Doflamingo descended before Yota and revealed that he had come to capture him, then tried to control him with strings.
  • Yota resisted Doflamingo’s threads and tugged him forward, forcing Doflamingo to sever them and brace himself with more strings.
  • Doflamingo ordered Pica to use the Stone-Stone Fruit to swallow Yota and crush him deep underground.
  • After Pica exhausted his strength burying him, Yota calmly began to exert himself and announced that it was his turn.

Ch. 176Total Annihilation

Yota used his overwhelming power to defeat Doflamingo and the Donquixote Family, killing Pica and absorbing several officers into Dark Space. After the battle, he questioned the quality of the family’s Devil Fruits and wondered where its absent members were.

  • Doflamingo sensed Yota’s attack and pulled his subordinates into the sky before Yota’s Almighty Push blasted Pica apart underground.
  • Yota opened the Eight Gates and swiftly defeated Jora, Lao G, Gladius, and Trebol, absorbing or destroying them with his abilities.
  • Doflamingo trapped what he believed was Yota in a String Cocoon and tried to flee, but Yota appeared behind him after leaving a wooden dummy in the threads.
  • Yota combined the Dark-Dark Fruit’s suction with Universal Pull and absorbed Doflamingo into Dark Space.
  • Yota’s clones returned with other Donquixote Family officers, whom he absorbed, and he wondered why the family had so few powerful Devil Fruits.

Ch. 177Betrayal

Violet tried to betray the Donquixote Family by sending Yota information about Sugar, whose Hobby-Hobby Fruit power threatened Dressrosa’s people and the Riku family’s name. Monet caught Violet before she could make contact, and Sugar prepared to interrogate her.

  • Violet restrained her urge to attack Sugar while Monet guarded her, then decided to use Sugar’s location to help bring down the Donquixote Family.
  • Violet went to the restroom and tried to use her Glint-Glint Fruit to locate a Den Den Mushi near Yota, but found none because Yota had taken the family’s members and their Den Den Mushi into Dark Space.
  • Violet left the restroom to contact Yota, but Monet froze her limbs and demanded to know Young Master’s situation.
  • Sugar arrived and told Monet to hand Violet over to her, leaving Violet terrified of what Sugar would do.

Ch. 178Subduing the Donquixote Family

Sugar threatened Violet to force her to reveal information, while Monet and Sugar discussed how to rescue the captured Doflamingo and Donquixote Family members. Yota decided to keep Doflamingo’s status and resources useful to him, planning to subdue the family with Kotoamatsukami.

  • Sugar threatened to turn Violet into a toy and make her kill King Riku, so Violet broke down and agreed to talk.
  • Monet learned that Yota, Ace, and Yamato had defeated Kaido and the Beasts Pirates, and that Queen had surrendered.
  • Monet and Sugar realized the Donquixote Family’s remaining officers could not rescue Doflamingo, and Monet urged Sugar to use her Hobby-Hobby Fruit.
  • Monet warned Sugar that underground forces would target her if the Donquixote Family fell, leaving her with no choice but to try to rescue Doflamingo.
  • Yota chose to preserve Doflamingo’s underground status and resources rather than take his Devil Fruit, and planned to subdue the family with Kotoamatsukami.

Ch. 179Red Queen Doflamingo

Yota failed to keep Doflamingo under Kotoamatsukami’s control, so he used Mind Dive to turn him into a vegetable and installed a Red Queen subprogram in his body. After modifying Red Queen Doflamingo and taking control of the Donquixote Family, Yota returned to Dressrosa and found Sugar’s toys watching him.

  • Doflamingo’s Conqueror’s Haki began breaking through Yota’s Kotoamatsukami, so Yota abandoned the attempt to control him.
  • Yota used Mind Dive to search Doflamingo’s memories and leave him brain-dead but alive, then implanted an Electronic Chip containing Red Queen into his brain.
  • Red Queen took over Doflamingo’s body and retained his Devil Fruit abilities, but lost most of his Haki.
  • Yota modified Red Queen Doflamingo and brought the Donquixote Family under his control, apart from two subordinates he had killed.
  • Yota returned to Dressrosa and noticed little toys secretly watching him, revealing that Sugar had come to him.

Ch. 180Sugar's Plan Falls Apart

Yota saw through Sugar’s staged kidnapping attempt to lure him toward a supposed Doflamingo treasure vault. He captured and brainwashed Sugar, while Monet’s call for help had already set the Marines and the family’s Shichibukai status in motion as a fallback.

  • Yota went to investigate cries on Lovers Avenue and found Sugar apparently held captive by a group of pirates demanding the location of Doflamingo’s treasure vault.
  • Yota recognized Sugar as the Hobby-Hobby Fruit user and realized the pirates were acting out a setup aimed at him.
  • Sugar turned the pirates into two enormous nutcracker dolls and tried to escape while Yota smashed through the dolls and blocked her path.
  • Yota used Kotoamatsukami to control Sugar, who revealed the details of her plan to launch a sneak attack or surrender if it failed.
  • Monet had already alerted Vergo, and the Doflamingo Pirates planned to use their Shichibukai status and the Marines as a last resort.
