"We're done for. We're going to die." Ulti wore a dejected expression, looking as though Usopp had possessed her and radiating negativity.
"Sorry. If you're scared, I'll go back to the dungeon by myself." Yamato looked at Ulti with concern.
"Who's scared? It's just that we offended Boss Kaido, and everyone who helped you before is dead, and it's just..."
"Waaah! I'm really scared! Page One, we're dead! Captain Kaido is definitely going to beat us into pulp!" Halfway through her tough talk, Ulti broke down, ran to her younger brother, and burst into tears as she hugged him.
Though Page One was young, he wore a helpless expression, as if there was nothing he could do about his sister.
Joker spoke up directly. "It's fine. If Kaido comes after us, we'll just take Yamato hostage."
"Oh, so that's an option." Yamato looked enlightened.
Ulti, who had been crying, immediately raised her head and snapped, "What do you mean, that's an option? You just let her out of prison! No normal person would believe that!"
"Relax. It's just kidnapping a little girl. Do I really look like a good person to you?" Joker grinned at Ulti, casually activating his Devil Fruit ability again and splitting apart a pirate charging toward them. Blood and mangled corpses scattered across the ground.
If you're a good person, then even Boss Kaido would be a great saint, wouldn't he? Ulti grumbled inwardly, though she naturally did not dare say it aloud.
Huh? So Joker didn't want to rescue Kaido's daughter—he wanted to kidnap her? I see... I worried for nothing... No, wouldn't that mean we'll die even worse?
"How can you say that?" After hearing Joker's words, Yamato spoke in disbelief, staring at him in shock.
*Are they going to fight? But this guy
