At the entrance to the Grand Line, a strange large ship sailed over. Though it looked like the kind of vessel capable of carrying hundreds of people, there were only three people aboard.
"We're here. This is Whiskey Peak, the very first starting point of the entire Grand Line." Alonso stretched out a finger, and all the ropes on the ship began moving on their own, adjusting the sails.
Nico Robin, who was reading nearby, did not even raise her head. She merely clenched her hand, and all kinds of arms sprouted from the deck. Working together, they quickly sent the ship toward Whiskey Peak.
"I'm exhausted. Has the Grand Line's weather always been this bizarre?" Lao Cai lay sprawled across the deck, panting heavily. Of the three people aboard, Alonso and Nico Robin had used their Devil Fruit abilities to take on nearly all the work, and they had both said he did not need to help.
But Lao Cai immediately got worked up upon hearing those polite words, declaring that not letting him work aboard the ship meant they looked down on him. If he had not considered that he could not beat Alonso, he would have nearly jumped up and cursed him out.
Thus, Alonso had assigned him a few tasks as well, which was why Lao Cai was now half-dead from exhaustion.
Back in the Four Seas, the tasks Alonso assigned would have been fairly easy. But the Grand Line's weather was truly unpredictable, making Lao Cai suffer greatly without any mental preparation.
"This is nothing. The Grand Line's climate is already quite gentle. If you reach the New World in the latter half, what falls from the sky may not be rain or snow, but flames and meteors."
"Is it really that terrifying?" Lao Cai
