"Bastard!" Garp was so furious his face twisted. He nearly started cursing, and if he had not been so badly injured, he would have made the three brothers taste the power of his iron fists long ago.
"I told you, I was just careless. That brat Doflamingo was far too cunning—he actually tricked me..."
Unfortunately, no one paid him any attention now. The three brothers were all in high spirits, circling around Doflamingo.
Garp and Doflamingo's injuries had mostly healed after they ate a special feast Doflamingo had prepared himself.
For some time afterward, Doflamingo taught the three brothers. With instruction in both Illusion Space and the real world, the three improved at an astonishing pace. Even Garp had to admit how quickly they were progressing and how effective Doflamingo's teaching was.
Of course, he occasionally grumbled that the teaching methods were too gentle, while also trying to brainwash the three brothers into joining the Navy.
Unfortunately, Doflamingo could barely stand to watch Garp's brand of brainwashing. To put it bluntly, if every Navy instructor were like Garp, the number of mutinous Marines on the seas would probably increase severalfold.
"The only flaw is that I'm missing a Straw Hat. Otherwise, I could put one right on Luffy's head."
Of course, if he really managed to get Pirate King Roger's Straw Hat and put it on Luffy's head, Garp would probably fight him again—wasn't that openly abducting his grandson and turning him into the Pirate King?
Although Doflamingo felt that having that Straw Hat or not would not affect Luffy's future path toward becoming the Pirate King, Garp was still clinging to the fantasy that all three brothers would eventually become powerful Marines!
Or perhaps Garp was simply pretending to be clueless. In any case, Doflamingo could not tell.
