Hody Jones stood beneath the thunderclouds, his eyes wide as he stared at the terrifying sphere of lightning in the sky. His entire body began trembling uncontrollably.
Before the lightning strike even fell, Hody Jones tried to flee like a headless fly. However, the terrifying electric arcs surrounding the sphere of lightning had nearly sealed off every possible escape route.
"How could this be? Impossible. She's just a mere human..." Hody Jones roared madly. It was not as though he had never been defeated by humans before, but he had never encountered someone like Nami—someone who had been utterly incapable of matching him at first, only to reverse the gap in strength after merely a few days with the help of a Devil Fruit.
Unfortunately, no matter how loudly Hody Jones shouted, he could not change his fate. The sphere of lightning in the sky descended slowly yet irresistibly. Before it even touched him, the intense electromagnetic field had already immobilized Hody Jones, leaving him able only to watch helplessly as the lightning came down.
The lightning gradually turned Hody Jones's entire body into charred ash. First came his hair, then his head, followed by his chest. In the end, boundless light erupted, and with a tremendous boom, his entire body was reduced to ashes.
A circular crater over a hundred meters across remained in the ground. Wisps of smoke rose from it, while the earth had been fused into glass by the heat generated by the current.
At the very bottom of the crater, Nami lay there gasping for breath, looking utterly exhausted.
After absorbing a vast amount of natural electricity, Nami had recovered much of her stamina, and even some of her injuries had improved. The reason she looked like this now was because guiding the celestial phenomena
