If they could cooperate with Misty Pavilion—especially if they could capture the Imperial City and gain partial ownership of it—many of the Drinking Water Alliance's problems, at least the most pressing ones, could be easily resolved. Thus, after hearing Cang Hai Yi Su's proposal, Sage Wuming and the others became excited and hopeful. To their disappointment, however, Yan Hua Yi Leng did not agree.
At first, Sage Wuming and the others thought their alliance simply was not qualified. But after hearing Yan Hua Yi Leng's explanation, they realized that this was not the best time to capture the Imperial City, and that there was even a strong possibility they would fail.
Even if they succeeded, Misty Pavilion and the Drinking Water Alliance would have to pay an enormous price, one they might not be able to bear. At the very least, it would severely undermine their future war against the Dongfang Family and other Guild Alliances.
"But our alliance is facing a serious shortage of funds right now. If we cannot capture the Imperial City immediately, it will be difficult for us to keep going," Sage Wuming said heavily. His face was full of disappointment and guilt. "So, we will either have to join forces with other guilds or directly trade this item for a Level 5 Guild Headquarters. This is our only path."
"Trading for a Level 5 Guild Headquarters would indeed solve the problems your guild is facing in the short term." Zuo Shang Qin Xin nodded. Before Sage Wuming could say anything, her tone shifted.
