Background

Miao He is Tao Ji's disciple at Sanqing Temple. When Tao Ji, Xuan Miao, and Pan Yun arrived at Mount Sanqing, she rushed out to greet her master, immediately asking whether he had brought food. After being introduced to Pan Yun as a younger temple sister, Miao He eagerly offered to carry Pan Yun's basket and share her room. 36

Before Pan Yun's arrival, Miao He found temple life lonely: Miao Zhen spent most of her time studying and cultivating, while the other residents were occupied with their own duties. She became one of Pan Yun's earliest companions and an informal guide to Sanqing Temple's people and hierarchy. 38
