Su Ziming could not help himself. Trembling, he stepped forward and took her hand. "Fei'er, you... what's wrong...?"
He realized something, yet he did not dare believe it. His face was filled with terror and flustered panic.
"I told you not to talk. If you wake the child, are you going to soothe her?" Yan Fei said sternly.
But she quickly softened again. "You're hungry, aren't you? I'll make you something to eat. Watch the child!"
With that, her hair disheveled and her gaze somewhat vacant, she walked outside.
She muttered under her breath, "You're always running around outside. The child misses you, but she can never find you. You really are an unqualified father!"
"In a couple of days, you have to order the biggest cake as a gift for the child, or I won't let you off!"
Su Ziming's entire body trembled, and tears burst from his eyes.
He suddenly rushed forward and hugged Yan Fei. "Don't scare me. Don't scare me... I can't lose you too!"
