Mikoto took the lunch she had prepared at home out of the basket and arranged it on the table one by one.
There were bonito rice balls Sasuke loved, beef stew with tomatoes and potatoes, as well as the three-color dango and natto Itachi liked.
It was worth mentioning that because of the relatively strict upbringing Itachi had given little Sasuke, little Sasuke did not dislike sweets or natto. Likewise, after learning the truth about Itachi, older Sasuke no longer hated those two foods either.
Besides those four dishes, Mikoto had also prepared oden, tempura, and miso soup.
Because of the limited time, Mikoto had only made this much, but every portion was surprisingly large, as if she were afraid her children would not get enough to eat.
Maybe that was maternal love...
Itachi picked up a bonito rice ball and placed it in older Sasuke's bowl.
"Give it a try. You probably haven't had one in a long time."
His eyes were full of heartache as he looked at older Sasuke. Though he had not asked, Sasuke's reaction back then had made him understand that this younger brother from the future must have suffered greatly, even losing his left arm.
But little Sasuke, sitting beside Boruto, was unhappy.
"Why didn't you get one for me? Itachi, you're playing favorites!"
Fugaku silently glanced at his younger son, Sasuke, then at older Sasuke's empty left sleeve. It felt as though something had gripped his heart, making it ache.
"He only has one hand, so it's inconvenient. What, do you only have one hand too?"
Fugaku's "high emotional intelligence" remark left little Sasuke speechless. Then he silently began stuffing bonito rice balls into his mouth.
Since he only has one hand, he definitely can't eat faster than me. I have two hands!
