Chapter Summaries

Rainbow Wing, Gu Qiye, and their allies fought Sun Wukong on Hofsjökull Glacier, suffering heavy casualties before Black Cocoon and Esther joined the battle. Black Cocoon used stolen powers to launch a massive attack, but Sun Wukong began breaking free of control, and the chapter ended with his hair clones vanishing.

• Garfiel brought Rainbow Wing to Sodalitas Salvifica’s Iceland base, where Sun Wukong appeared and attacked them with Samadhi True Fire, his Golden Cudgel, and hair clones.
• Gu Qiye arrived in time to save Uriel, but Sun Wukong overwhelmed the fighters, killing Ke Qingzheng and leaving Rainbow Wing incapacitated.
• Ghost Bell suspended Sun Wukong for three seconds, allowing Gu Qiye to wound him, while Mutong sacrificed himself to help Gu Qiye escape the hair clones.
• Black Cocoon arrived with Esther, stole Gu Qiye’s power and several Rainbow Wing abilities, and joined Gu Qiye and Esther in attacking Sun Wukong.
• Black Cocoon fused Azure Wrath Boat with Garfiel’s Metal Control to create a battleship that fired a devastating beam at Sun Wukong, but he survived and began invoking the Golden Fillet.
• Sun Wukong’s hair clones vanished as Black Cocoon recognized the Golden Fillet’s power to break Mental Type control.

Black Cocoon rescued Kong Youling from the Instructor and died protecting Gu Qiye and Esther, while Sun Changkong sacrificed herself to free Ji Minghuan. Ji Minghuan unlocked his full power, killed Restricted Class 1003, and left the Instructor imprisoned for a lifetime of punishment.

• Black Cocoon infiltrated Sodalitas Salvifica's tower, pulled Kong Youling away from Restricted Class 1003, and escaped by switching places with his Restraint Belt Avatar.
• Restricted Class 1003 attacked Gu Qiye and Esther, and Black Cocoon dragged them out of danger before the mechanical claws killed him; he entrusted Kong Youling and the others to Gu Qiye.
• Sun Changkong transformed into the Great Sage and fought Restricted Class 1003, then reached Ji Minghuan, broke his suppression collar, and died in his arms.
• Ji Minghuan unlocked Unit 0's power, battled Restricted Class 1003 across the glacier and in space, and destroyed him after reaching 100% power.
• Six hours later, Ji Minghuan visited the imprisoned Instructor and said he would keep him alive to suffer for the rest of their lives.

After the Battle of Iceland, Ji Minghuan reunited with friends and family around the world and invited them to travel with him. A month later, Restricted Class 1001 revealed that the World Tree fragment might restore the souls of their dead friends, and Ji Minghuan set out to find it within a month.

• Ji Minghuan and Kong Youling remembered Shang Xiaochi and Sun Changkong at Tokyo Tower, then decided to keep living and travel while reuniting with their friends.
• Ji Minghuan found Theresia in Rome, invited her to travel with him, and promised to avoid Iceland.
• Ji Minghuan reunited with Cesar in Norway, revealed that he was Yagubalu, and invited him to travel and eat with him.
• Ji Minghuan appeared before Lin Xingshi in Iceland as Little Nian Beast and asked her to join the journey.
• Ji Minghuan reunited with Su Zimai, Gu Zhuoan, and Gu Qiye in Haifan City, then invited them and Kong Youling to travel with him; Ayase Origami also accepted his invitation to leave Iceland with him.
• A month later, Restricted Class 1001 told Ji Minghuan that the World Tree fragment might let them recover the souls of Li Qingping, Sun Changkong, and the others, and Ji Minghuan gave himself one month to find it.

Ji Minghuan returned from Iceland with Uriel and continued caring for the newborn bodies of Li Qingping, Sun Changkong, Shang Xiaochi, and Enma Rin, whose souls he had recovered through the World Tree. He then revealed White Greedy Wolf had also returned as a wolf pup and visited the imprisoned Instructor, promising to keep bringing him news.

• Ji Minghuan brought Uriel home, where Gu Qiye cared for four babies born from souls preserved by the World Tree.
• Ji Minghuan and Cesar agreed to postpone their group trip for eight years, until Li Qingping and the others had grown up.
• Ji Minghuan went to Gray Crow and revealed his identity as Xia Pingzhou to Urushi Haramichi, Anluns, Filio, Mario, and Hacker.
• Ji Minghuan gave Filio a sleeping wolf pup, revealing that White Greedy Wolf had returned.
• Ji Minghuan told Instructor that he had recovered the souls of Li Qingping, Sun Changkong, and the others, then left him restrained in the basement.

Ji Minghuan visited Sea Sail Mountain, picked up Su Zimai, and checked in with Lin Xingshi before heading to Tokyo for a date with Ayase Origami. On Tokyo Skytree, they agreed to get to know each other over the next eight years and marry if they still loved each other then.

• Ji Minghuan left Ayase Origami at the café and traveled to Spirit Heart Lake, where the Lotus Leaf Demon told him the Nian Beast Overlord was well and the mountain demons were holding a memorial for him and the Zodiac Team.
• Ji Minghuan picked up Su Zimai from Haifan City No. 5 Middle School and took her to Lin Family Mansion, where the Dragon Cat Demon bit his protected hand and stayed with Lin Xingshi.
• Ji Minghuan took Su Zimai home, then left for Tokyo and restrained Silver Devourer in midair while inviting him to visit Gu Qiye.
• Ji Minghuan and Ayase Origami ate crab, visited the aquarium, and went up to Tokyo Skytree, where Ji Minghuan admitted his insecurities and proposed they consider marriage in eight years if they still loved each other.
• Ayase Origami promised, confessed that she liked Ji Minghuan, and kissed him; they kissed in return before a Black Hole swallowed the snowfall and they left together.
