Inside the heavily armored carriages of the Iron Throne—Jörmungandr, the sounds of machinery operating normally and wheels crushing over the rails replaced the previous artillery fire.

Maryland left the command seat and came to a window on the side of the carriage. Through the reinforced crystal glass, he gazed toward the distant plains.
