Within the comfortably warm Incubation Chamber, where runes glimmered faintly, the pale golden dragon egg suddenly gave a slight shudder. The newspaper floating before it rustled softly in response.

Betty, who was wiping the eggshell with a soft cloth nearby, immediately noticed the movement. She looked up with concern. "Lady Enya? Did I hurt you?"

"Ah... no," came a gentle voice from within the Golden Giant Egg. "I just suddenly felt like... shaking a little."

Betty tilted her head in confusion. "You felt like shaking? Were you cold?"

"No, the room is warm, but I just wanted to... shake a little." Enya sounded somewhat puzzled as well. "How strange. I've never felt this before... Is this one of the changes after humanity and divinity were separated...?"

"I don't understand," Betty said honestly. Then she glanced at Enya, who was reading the newspaper, and smiled. "Lady Enya, would you like some more black tea? The tea is still hot."

"Ah, certainly. Thank you, little Betty," Enya said at once, obvious amusement in her voice.

Betty happily ran to the small table holding the tea. She had specifically ordered this table moved in over the past two days, for tea, snacks, and the day's newspaper. Picking up her beloved large teapot, she returned to the Golden Giant Egg and carefully poured the tea over its shell. Amid the soft splashing of water, a refreshing fragrance drifted through the rising steam, filling the entire room with the scent of fine black tea.

Perhaps it was only her imagination, but Betty felt that Lady Enya's shell had become thoroughly infused with that fragrance over the past few days. Even after it had been wiped clean, one could still smell the tea upon approaching the giant egg—but since Lady Enya herself did not seem to
