Along the coastline of the distant northern frontier, sea winds blew in gusts across the broad, level Pier No. 1. Bulk cargo was neatly stacked in the Warehouse Area beside the pier, while large construction machinery powered jointly by Magic-Powered Engines and Weight-Reducing Runes bustled nearby, transferring more goods onto the platforms of the Pre-loading/Unloading Area.
A huge Clock Tower stood at the edge of the urban district near the pier. Its enormous Mechanical Watch Face gleamed beneath the sun, exquisite bronze gears clicked as they turned behind transparent Crystal Windows, and hands decorated with delicate openwork patterns slowly pointed toward the top of the dial. Below the Clock Tower, a large Magic Net Terminal at the edge of the square was broadcasting to the public. The Holographic Projection above it displayed a live feed from conference venue No. 112—important figures sat beneath solemn Giant Stone Pillars, while the voice of an off-site commentator came from beyond the image.
A beautiful and imposing large ship was moored at the edge of Pier No. 1. It had a metal hull and Magic-infused Wing Panels extending diagonally upward, with the glow of runes slowly drifting across parts of its surface. Above the vessel, a flag representing the Ogre Tribes Nation snapped in the wind—this ship had come from distant White Feather Pier. It had been designed and built by a Shipbuilding Plant of the North Port Empire, commissioned by a wealthy merchant from Mosswood Forest. Over the past period, it had made several trade runs between Mosswood Forest and North Port, and now it was preparing for its final voyage of the week.
Farther away, even more Merchant Ships of all sizes were moored beside piers of every grade. They flew the flags of Cecil, the Ogre Tribes Nation, or the Holy
