A... creature Lady Enya had never seen before appeared in the doorway. A cheerful smiling face emerged on its smooth metallic shell. It floated a short distance above the ground by some antigravity means, brimming with energy that was clearly not a magic reaction. The wondrous creature drifted inside and spoke very politely:
"Hello, I'm here to install the equipment."
Lady Enya was briefly stunned—but all her emotional changes were well hidden within her smooth eggshell. She watched the metal sphere float in, then saw many more things drifting in behind it: magical device components awaiting assembly, including neatly packaged Rune Boards, crystals mounted in metal frames, alloy bases with plug-in structures, and various other odds and ends. These objects had no antigravity or Repulsion Structure of their own and were clearly floating under the control of the metal sphere ahead of them.
The device components were soon stacked neatly around the room. The bright, gleaming metal sphere drifted over to Lady Enya. He seemed curious as he examined the pale golden dragon egg, though his own emotional changes were likewise concealed beneath his hard shell. Then he bobbed up and down and cheerfully introduced himself. "I am the chief Great Craftsman here. By order, I designed a customized Magic Net Terminal and came personally to install it. You may call me Saint Nicholas Egg-Master—or simply Egg-Master, or Mr. Nicholas."
"Uh... hello," a somewhat hesitant voice came from within the pale golden giant egg. "You can call me Enya."
"Pleased to meet you, Lady Enya." The metal giant egg bobbed again, and some of the stacked components nearby floated into the air. "Then I'll begin work. There may be a little noise, so please excuse me."
