Enya's guess made Gawain truly realize what the gravest consequence of the Tower of Reverse Tide's mutation would be.
It would not merely be the spread of corruption, nor merely the power of the Reverse Tide spilling into the outside world. The Reverse Tide would become a true god—a complete god, one that had utterly broken free from its seal and embryonic state. Moreover, it would be bound by no Divine Office, nor by the principle of "protecting mortals." Methods such as Weaken Divine Power, severing thought currents, and imprisoning divinity would be utterly useless before such a "complete god"!
"An uncontrolled god will walk the world, without conscience or any concept of good and evil, and most likely filled with hatred..." Enya's low voice came from within the Golden Giant Egg. Even Gawain found the scene she described chilling.
But Enya's tone soon shifted slightly. "Of course, these are merely the worst-case speculations. There is no actual evidence that the Reverse Tide can truly corrupt the Night Lady—and judging from the Shadow Dust Modir Wilde brought back, the Night Lady's power remains stable and pure. She has not yet suffered any contamination..."
"But the anomaly that occurred in Modir Wilde, this 'link,' is real," Gawain said gravely. "Perhaps none of it has happened yet. Perhaps it is only a matter of time."
His thoughts raced as he tried to devise a way to eliminate the crisis before it took shape. Yet he did not need to think for long, because he had discussed an "ultimate solution" with Enya long ago.
"...It seems I still need to consider the Orbital Crash Plan we mentioned before." Gawain sighed softly, his tone carrying a trace of helplessness. "Only the Voyager Legacy might be able to truly and completely destroy that tower..."
