They walked deeper into the divine kingdom, crossing this land blessed by a god. Mortals had spent ten thousand years of illusion building this magnificent city, and now it had become a splendid, solemn ruin.
The mythic cheerleaders and mighty guardians of the divine kingdom had departed with the end of mythology. Camil and the explorers he led encountered no obstacles here... not even any active beings besides themselves.
Except for the ancient wreckage constantly drifting overhead in the divine kingdom.
The party passed beneath a towering archway that stood abruptly in the street, as though it were mere decoration. Milmina reached out and lightly brushed the pillar supporting the arch. A layer of weathered, decayed debris fell from the pillar, which looked indestructible, like stone yet gleaming with an iron-gray metallic sheen. The fragments dispersed and broke apart in midair, yet the scar left on the pillar was restored the next second.
"It has been frozen at the moment of its destruction... frozen at the instant the mortal tide of thought was disconnected," the Former Goddess of Magic said thoughtfully, raising her head. "So this is what a myth ended by humanity ultimately looks like... I thought it would appear far more absurd and ruined, but it turns out to be nothing more than a yellowed, faded illusion."
Camil could not help looking up at the tall Lady beside him. Unable to restrain his curiosity, he asked, "What was your kingdom... like?"
"As a former mortal mage, do you not know?" Milmina smiled faintly and quietly watched the ancient Arcane Master floating beside her. "That kingdom was created by you."
"...There was an endless starry sky, and every 'star' represented a magical truth in this world. A tremendously vast Magic Tower stood at the center of the starry sky,
