At the same time, in the Water Element Domain corresponding to the main material plane, at the crash site of the Antavien.
Endless rain covered the Boundless Sea. Above it, between the two layers of ocean, the inverted sea hanging in the sky rippled with wave after wave. Water Elements could vaguely be seen moving through those waves, continuing their endless cycle of growth, fusion, conflict, and reassembly. Meanwhile, deep beneath the Boundless Sea, vast currents of blue light could dimly be seen crossing the deep ocean and connecting to the enormous waterways on The Other Side of this sea.
This impossible sight, utterly contrary to the common sense of the material world, was normal in the Water Element Domain. Pure Elemental Power merged with the world's magical background here, forming a unique system of "cycles." Yet for the sea monsters, who were themselves Elemental Creatures, this environment inspired no particular sense of familiarity—it was merely a space vaguely similar to their homeworld, and the vast Boundless Sea here was not the ocean from their memories of home.
But sea monsters were carefree creatures, and they adapted to their surroundings with remarkable speed.
A sentry post stood steadily amid the rolling waves of the Boundless Sea. It resembled a slightly opened shell, its streamlined exterior carrying a silvery metallic sheen beneath pale-blue decorative paint. The paint formed the sea monsters' distinctive totemic patterns, resembling the limbs of some Deep Sea Creatures. Through the gap in the open shell, an Energy Barrier filled with light could be seen. Within it were living quarters, weapon stations, Communication Stations, and other facilities, along with decorative Tentacle Stone Carvings, seaweed, and similar objects. More than a dozen sea monsters bustled about among the sentry post's facilities.
