That cry was the last thing the siren Coroline left for her comrades and commanding officer. The next second, her figure was swept up and swallowed by that incomparably powerful torrent of energy, rapidly turning into a streak of flowing light that flew into the distance. The Abyssal Commander and Sentinel Vira beside her did not even have time to react. By the time they tried to reach out and stop her, it was already too late.

The Water Element Lord, who was floating in the seawater nearby and attempting to mend his body, happened to see it as well. This massive elemental giant rushed toward the "downstream" end of that azure ley line. Within this Boundless Sea, saturated with Elemental Power, he moved almost as fast as lightning—yet he still could not match the speed of the deep-blue torrent. The Element Lord only had time to stretch out his arm before the bluish-purple figure representing Coroline vanished completely from everyone's line of sight.
