According to Goddess of Magic Milmina's projections, the Wasteland's current state was essentially that of an out-of-control, internally sealed "abnormal energy field." The great eruption of the Azure Well and the lingering aftereffects of the pre-Magic Tide tremors had been bound to this land, forming a vast and unquenchable magic power tremor. According to the "Unified Fluctuation Theory," the boundary between the "real" and the "unreal" in this world was blurred and variable. Thus, an out-of-control energy field meant the material world would also spiral out of control. Some things would emerge from nothing at energy focal points, some things that should have vanished would be reassembled and reappear, and unprotected people would suffer irreversible harm within such an energy field.
That was the truth of the Wasteland—and the Blockade Wall's "healing" of it was, in essence, the smoothing and filtering of this enormous abnormal energy field.
A sufficient number of Purification Devices connected into a long barrier, like a breakwater built amid ocean waves. The magic turbulence that had raged for Seven Hundred Years would gradually weaken before this barrier until both its intensity and severity fell below a threshold, causing it to lose its ability to interfere with and influence the material world and become ordinary magic power tremors once more. The Wasteland's countless bizarre phenomena and ever-spreading pollution and corruption would swiftly come to an end as their source vanished.
Yet all this had only ever been a theoretical result. Though nearly everyone who knew the truth believed Milmina's calculations could not be wrong, as towers rose one after another and the war changed day by day, people could not help but feel a trace of concern—would the Blockade Wall truly work? Would the Gondor Wasteland, which had occupied this planet for seven centuries, truly dissipate naturally
