The air force's supreme commander's crude outburst rang through the command center, finally snapping the commanders and Technical Personnel out of the san-check brought on by witnessing that shocking sight. Rebecca stared wide-eyed at the image displayed in the projection. Even with her sturdy nervous system, she felt a little dazed. "This thing... seems to still be slowly crawling toward the Azure Well?"
"It's hard to say whether it's crawling or... growing..." Prince Jinna looked utterly pale. At that moment, she even felt last week's dinner churning in her stomach. "But one thing is certain: this thing is attacking the Azure Well..."
As they spoke, the Holographic Projection continued playing. The high-altitude Reconnaissance Aircraft had clearly focused all its attention on the colossal object on the ground. After several zooms and refocusing adjustments, the image became clearer. Those in the hall could even see ripples moving constantly across the skin of that enormous mass of flesh crawling over the earth, as well as dark-red streams of light flowing between its roots and vines. The reconnaissance pilot's slightly trembling voice came from beyond the image: "...Visual contact... unable to determine its exact scale. It's incredibly enormous... There are countless energy readings on its surface and inside it. The sensors are off the charts... It's moving toward the Azure Well..."
At that moment, the pilot's voice was abruptly cut off by a piercing alarm. The next second, Jinna and Rebecca saw a sudden change occur on the crawling creature's "back." Part of the structure that had mimicked a forest instantly flipped open to either side. The dense woodland turned into countless frenzied, twisted tentacles in the blink of an eye. Then a slit opened at the tip of every tentacle, revealing pale, horrifying eyeballs within. Hundreds upon hundreds of those pale eyes
