Looking into the Distance

Milmina had enjoyed "wandering" through the Deep Realm since long ago—as a deity presiding over the domains of mysteries and exploration, both her human and divine aspects possessed boundless curiosity. The gods floating within the Deep Realm, bound layer upon layer by shells formed from tides of thought, had always fascinated her.

She hoped to glimpse deeper mysteries of this world through the other gods and find a true path to liberation from the chains of faith.

Of course, her "explorations" were not without limits. Peering into a divine kingdom was not merely deadly for mortals; it was even more so for gods. Deities of different domains often possessed inherently conflicting tendencies in their tides of thought, and the "purity of faith" maintained by such conflicts was often the foundation upon which divine kingdoms endured. If a god ventured too close to another god's domain, then even if the other party was friendly and wished to communicate, the inherent "tendency" of that divine kingdom would spontaneously attack the "intruder"—it happened as naturally as any phenomenon of nature, and even the god involved could not stop it.

Although Milmina had successfully shed her divine position, this "rejection" still affected her. Thus, even she could only gaze from afar at the kingdoms floating in the Deep Realm, guessing at what happened within from the tiny scraps of "information" leaking out of those divine kingdoms.

"Just a shift in attention, a line of sight, a glance that may have been nothing more than coincidence..." Milmina sighed softly. "I know none of this really counts as 'evidence.' At most, it's merely suspicious. You could even say I'm overthinking things, but I have a feeling... after the Sentinel vanished, the Kingdom of Gods really has been undergoing some changes."

Amun did not speak at first.
