Rebecca looked at the dragon ambassador before her with sparkling eyes and her trademark radiant smile. Upon hearing this, Melita subconsciously glanced at Gawain. That strange look made even Gawain uncomfortable. "What are you looking at me for?"
"You really do deserve to be blood relatives," the blue dragon said faintly. "She sounds more and more like you—like when you sweet-talk your 'business partners' into bleeding themselves dry."
"How is that sweet-talking?" Before Gawain could speak, Rebecca immediately began chattering. "I'm serious. This is a highly viable plan—abandon the overly harsh ground environment, give up repairing those hopeless ground base stations, and move all communication nodes onto semi-permanent Aerial Platforms. The cost would actually be far lower than rebuilding a communication network across Tarlonnd's wastelands, and it would be much faster too..."
"This... does make some sense." Despite what she said, Melita seriously considered the new proposal. She had heard a little about the Dawn of the Mortal World Sky Fortress battle group deploying an Aerial Communication Network on the western front of the continent. She also knew that during the most difficult period early in the war, when communications throughout the Ogre Tribes Nation had been cut off, that temporary network had played an astonishing role. Without it, Augurey, which had nearly collapsed at the time, could never have regained stability before the end of the war, much less found the strength to send an army to the front. Even so, she still had concerns of her own. "The question is... can this communication network really operate stably over the long term? After all, what you built back then was only a temporary network..."
