Technical Personnel from Typhon, Cecil, and the Silver Empire bustled about at their respective stations. Mages observed the crystal reactions on the central test bench, apprentices recorded data nearby, and scholars conducted complex calculations and heated discussions in the surrounding area. At the center of it all was the "Energy Crystal" from Vepranton Observatory.
Above the platform at the center of the laboratory, a palm-sized translucent crystal floated in midair under the influence of an Anti-gravity Field. Numerous Rune Array rings revolved around the crystal through the air, while neatly inscribed Rune Arrays and precision crystals embedded at their nodes covered the test platform's surface. Together, these monitored the Energy Crystal's energy output and self-charging process every second, while also serving as the laboratory's first line of protection.
Camil floated beside the platform and raised a hand toward the crystal. Fine strands of Arcane Lightning branched from the end of his arm, precisely stimulating the corresponding mithril synapses on the nearby Control Nodes. Under his control, the Rune Arrays surrounding the crystal rearranged themselves, and a curtain of light slowly swept over it, sending ripples across its surface.
"This truly is an incredible miracle... Despite having operated for who knew how many years, the energy balance within this crystal remains so stable. And after we reconstructed the Magic Circuits connected to it, it has already begun outputting energy into them..." A low, faintly resonant voice came from within Camil's body. He made no effort to conceal his respect and admiration for another advanced civilization. "Compared with it, our technology is as crude as torches and stones in the hands of primitive people..."
